please please please stop using hydrocolloid pimple patches on spots that don't have a head. at best you're wasting your money and at worst you are trapping a cyst in a bacterial breeding ground and it is going to make things much worse. do not listen to people who tell you they "draw out" infection. they cannot draw out anything. that white stuff you see in them is not pus. it's just fluid that has interacted with the hydrocolloid dressing. pure water would make it look like that. if you have a very angry, hard bump with no head and put a pimple patch on it, and it has a head the next day, it is likely that the reason it has a head is because you have worsened the infection. hydrocolloid bandages only work on open wounds. they are useless or detrimental for anything else.
