Does building a wall around your heart make it hurt less?

Obsession is my destiny.

Since we parted, I recalled our meeting; how many times have my soul and dreams been with you?

Her skin was so hot she felt like she would catch fire under his touch. She was putty in his hands. His to kill or kiss, to torture as he liked. When she opened her eyes to his molten gaze, she saw that she was torturing him too.

He hated how his heart swooped, how easily she yanked it with her invisible string.

The gentle caress of her hand against his cheek, how her trembling breath had feathered his skin, her mouth so close he could almost taste her. He would not sleep easy tonight. Or perhaps ever again.

"There you are." "What the hell do you want from me?" "I want you to touch me."

After ten long years of clinging to life by his fingernails of doing unthinkable things to survive, he had given it all up for the mark he was supposed to kill. For hair that shone like the sun rising over Everell, and eyes as bright as the sky he used to walk to school under.

I dread sleeping, my dreams appal me.

In the darkness, two shadows, reaching through the hopeless, heavy dusk. Their hands meet, and light spills in a flood, like a hundred golden urns pouring out the sun.

There is beauty even in monstrous places. Even in monsters themselves.

You smother my passion so much it hurts. Is it possible to love too much?

Being with him is better than being alone.
