Tsuki Shinwa (werewolf-vampire hybrid FMC)
She is feisty, even though she goes through some horrifying ordeals. A lost princess fighting to stay alive and get revenge for what they've done to her, as well as find some sort of peace. But what does her being the "Moon Warrior" have anything to do with it? She has a great burden placed on her shoulders, but she tries to stay positive and hold hope in her mind and heart.
Takagi Grandel (Urufian Court Wizard)
Tsuki's mentor and the Wizard to Urufian royalty. This scholar prides himself on his knowledge and magic skill. Usually clam and collected, but if you get him mad he will take your head off. He blames himself for what happened to Tsuki, even though there was nothing he could do and he would have possibly died if he had been there.
Kiriuk (little brother of FMC)
The air headed younger brother of Tsuki. He isn't a true werewolf, but doesn't correct others when they address him so. He is the definition of a #himbo and has golden retriever energy, which can get him into trouble. Kiriuk is vastly loyal to Tsuki and thinks she is the coolest person in the world, he is proud to be her brother.
Willianna (thief best friend)
Willianna entered Tsuki's life when Tsuki was very vulnerable, making these two closer than friends, more like sisters. She is the embodiment of sass and will aim it at anyone. Willianna is from a southern Beacher tribe (tribes of people who live on the water) and learned how to be a thief from family who were pirates, it's something she excels at.
Count Alistain Valin (vampire MLI)
This suave vampire is from a family tied to the Vampire Royalty of Heltavin. He is a gentleman first, and a vampire second. His love for Tsuki happened at first sight, and he would do anything for her, even sacrifice himself if he had to. Alistain loves to flirtatiously tease Tsuki, he thinks her blushing face is the greatest thing in the world.

Review : Find My Way Down to You by Julian Winters

"When can I see you again?"
What a stunning book. I knew at 15% this book would make me cry and I was not wrong. Poetic, ethereal, sad, unique, beautiful. Winters is not only really funny in his adult contemporary romcoms, but he is a great writer when evoking atmosphere and worlds. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but It caught me by surprise and I absolutely loved it.
August is stuck in grief having been in the car accident that killed his boyfriend London 2 years ago and is having a hard time. He accidentally falls into another world and meets the handsome ferrier of souls Cary, along with the other immortal Deathless characters who rule the Underworld. August becomes desperate to find London’s soul, to talk to him and maybe get some closure, but keeps all of these feelings bottled up inside. This sets up a fascinating premise, a magical underworld, and an enemies-to-lovers / opposites attract scenario between August & Cary. So many fantastical and wonderful things happen above and below: on a beach, in the water, in a greenhouse, in a maze, in a clock tower, in a pizza shop, and amongst flowers. I was continuously surprised by the twists and turns and layers of meaning.
The way Julian writes about grief is so spot on, you can really feel what August is going through. The waves of grief that hit you when you least expect it. How you want to hold on to the sad feelings because it's a way of holding on to the person who died. How depressed and lost you feel. Ugh. For me, the only other authors who have written about loss in such a true way are Alexis Hall in Pansies, and Tracy Deonn in Legendborn. And if you’ve read those, you can guess what vibes to expect. But Find My Way Down to You is its own unique story, and a moving tribute to love, loss and hope. This one will stay with me for a while.
