The next prompt is beliefs and values, wow a big subject, here are a few things that came to mind, hand-printed, ethically priced, sustainable - I care that the work I create is handmade there is part of me in every piece from the time and care I spend on each drawing, creating the stencil, mixing the colours and printing every layer. It is also important to me that I value the work I do and that I set a price that reflects the time I spend and that will be sustainable for me to continue running my business and doesn’t undercut people in my community. This also speaks to quality creating fewer high quality pieces that will be treasured. I also use sustainable with its other meaning, many of the decisions I make with my business are rooted in consideration of the environment, It has always informed a lot of my decisions since I began my business. I always feel there is more that I can do and it is always a work in progress reviewing what new changes I can make to improve the environmental impact of my business, recently I’ve been making changes in areas like packaging, the materials & equipment I use are always considered through this lens. Image description: central to the image are Kethi’s arms, she is carefully placing a sheet of paper on the print table, in the background you can see a pot of ink and a inked up squeegee. Image 2 shows an open brown envelope held up, peeking out of the envelope is a striped paper sleeve, around this sleeve hangs a brown tag on which ‘thank you’ is hand written. The hand holding the envelope is white with purple nail varnish. . . . . #marchmeetthemaker #screenprinting #screenprintedartwork #marchmeetthemaker2021 #handmade #shopsmall #ethical #supportartist #supportsmallbusiness #livingsustainably #art #londonartist #packaging @cockpitarts @southbank_printmakers @ukprintshow (at Cockpit Arts) https://www.instagram.com/p/CL_sYvbHyKZ/?igshid=181zzclv11kqz
