Jesse works with all mediums!! He dabbles in many art forms and will continue to try as many as they can. They are a queer living in so called vancouver, however they grew up in the prairies

How do you try to practise radical love?

By giving love freely without expectations <3 We all want to love and be loved. It's the small things that can sometimes mean the most, surprising my friends with a little baked good, scribble or drawing, fun stickers, or a home cooked meal.

What does building community look like to you?

Creating and maintaining meaningful connections and care for one another

«Sprungschicht» (172 Seiten, Bergahorn Verlag, Bern 2024, ISBN 978-3-033-10372-6)

Als Spruchschicht wird jene Wasserschicht bezeichnet, die eingeklemmt zwischen altem und neuem Wasser liegt, beides berührt und voneinander trennt. Das Buch hat Zeit gebraucht – und macht sie sich zum Gegenstand. Gesammelt wurden Bilder und Notizen aus den letzten drei Jahren. Das Vorwort erzählt vom Fotografieren und Erinnern.

«Die Welt wirft Ballast ab. Hat sich in ein Ding gehäutet, fortgeschält. Aus den Augen verloren. Wurde mir Ding gewordenes Gegenteil von Warten.» (S. 14).

Auf der Rückseite jedes nummerierten Exemplars ist ein Apfelkern aus dem Garten meiner Grossmutter aufgeklebt. Die Kerne sind bereits überwintert und pflanzbereit. Die namenlose, alte Sorte mag feuchte, sandige Erde. Auf der Vorderseite haben die von Hand gebundenen Bücher eine jeweils unterschiedliche Fotografie als Titelschild.
