Over the last couple of years, the regenaration of Battersea has been going full steam ahead with the opening of the new Power Station and with all the shops and restaurants in the area. One of those restaurants is Solis, a grilled chicken and steak place. It's technically part of the Arcade Food Fall but while you can get some dishes in the main hall, they have their own little section with their full menu. That's where we ended up sitting.
So for a small starter, we had the elotes which came with a creamy dressing. This was well spiced and tasty but not quite cheesy enough for us. We're pretty sure we've had better elotes but these weren't too bad.
We were only looking for a quick bite so other than the elotes, we just had the grilled steak combinado which is a small set meal of steak, chips and a tomato salad which is pictured above. Really simple, really fresh with a nice vinaigrette.
Now onto the main event. This was 200g of flat iron steak with super crispy seasoned chips. With a delicious green sauce, this definitely had some L'entrecote de Relais vibes and was almost just as tasty. The steak was cooked really well and incredibly flavourful.
This was a really nice meal and we'll definitely be going back to try the grilled chicken. It's a great little place to grab a meal when in Battersea: it's quick, tasty and pretty reasonably priced.
