idk man sometimes i like it when video game writers are allowed to plan a series of events that happen in a specific order and affect each other in turn to become an overarching narrative, and i don’t mind trusting those writers to take me through those events in the order that is emotionally effective. i don’t really care if a game forces me to go through the forest area first before i can attempt the icy area because maybe there’s things that happen in the forest area that inform later scenes in the icy area. maybe we don't need more superficial player choice open world concepts if it comes at the cost of the ability to write a story with actual significant plot events and character development in each section

i remember when everyone was gassing up that one girl who got popular for looking like a "medieval painting” (a thing people often said specifically), touting her features as uniquely beautiful, she even became a trend where people would draw her. but once she was cancelled, with very due criticism, it was those same exact features which became the things people would mock her for, all of a sudden she looks “inbred” videos, and drawings mocking her face became popular ways to get likes online. All this appreciation of unconventional facial features is entirely shallow when the moment she deserves criticism you immediately go to making fun of her appearance

i’m going to be really honest with you guys i think the tendency to read the absolute worst possible intentions into every action you don’t agree with is getting too automatic and it’s eating you from the inside out

Whenever I see some anon asking an artist if it's "okay to take inspiration" from their art it makes me want to make some kind of manifesto or billboard or PSA or skywriting campaign to undo whatever damage strange litigious illustrator types inflicted upon the most basic foundations of the creative process. We can't let them get away with this

At the risk of sounding anti-intellectual, I think that college should be free and also not a requirement for employment outside of highly specialized career fields
