Two thoughts

1) like in every world cup, lots of people who don't really like football now have opinions on what constitutes corruption in the sport and they don't know what they're talking about/sound petty as fuck. A judge can display bias without having been bought.

2) you can support whatever team you like, but you can't pretend you're choosing based on historically progressive criteria if you're supporting former colonizers over Argentina because argentina is supposedly more racist than them they are and not a part of latam. Argentina is a former colony indisputedly in South America who has in recent history had territory occupied by England. England who has made the most money from the slave trade? France who had colonies in Africa until a few decades ago and still heavily meddles in african countries they consider to be under their zone of influence? BELGIUM? SPAIN? its fine to support these teams but you're not fooling anyone pretending it's about your morals lol
