Don't donate to World Central Kitchen because even after their members were murdered by Israel, the founder Jose Andreas still collaborated with Israel and recently they served displaced Israeli settlers bombed by Iran and Hezbollah

Dear reader, pause for a moment. Put down whatever is in your hands and take a deep breath, then read about children in Gaza who face the deadly cold with nothing but their fragile bodies. Israelās blockade on reconstruction materials has turned weak tents into slow graves, offering no protection from wind or harsh winter nights. This winter alone, at least 18 children have frozen to death because they were denied the most basic human right: real shelter.
These are not passing tragedies or just numbers in a breaking news headline. What is happening is the direct result of a siege that prevents homes from being rebuilt and leaves families at the mercy of the cold. Children are dying in silence, not under bombardment, but while shivering inside tents, as the world watches and justifies. Silence here is not neutrality; it is participation in the crime.
I am a father from Gaza, and this story is not distant from me. My daughters go to sleep every night shivering from the cold, just like those children who never woke up again. I watch their breathing and fear that I may lose one of them by morning. If you are able to help, your support and donations could mean warmth, safety, and perhaps life for my children. End the siege. Free Palestine.
Original Post: Keith Porter was tragically taken from us by an off-duty ice agent, and his family is seeking justice during this difficult time. In this image, we donāt see a āfutureā or āreconstruction.ā We see Gaza displayed on screens as if it were an investment project, while its people are still without homes, without safety, and without the right to decide their own fate. They speak of a āNew Gazaā in luxurious halls, while not all the dead have been buried and mothersā tears have not yet dried.
Gaza is not land for sale, and it is not an idea on a presentation slide. Gaza is real people displaced families, children who were forced to grow up under bombardment, and homes that have turned into memories. You cannot build cities on top of human suffering, and you cannot skip over the pain as if it never happened.
If this world only listens to the language of money, then we ask you at the very least to listen to the language of humanity. Please help us. Share our story. Donate if you can, or simply raise your voice. Helping is not charity it is the bare minimum of justice for people being erased and then redesigned to suit others.
(this list is mainly ways non-locals can donate but by extension offers a lot of resources and places to volunteer in the Twin Cities + there are specific ways to donate time under the cut which can be adjusted to your local neighborhood)
Memorial Blood CenterĀ declared a blood emergency on Tuesday, Jan 13. MBC is the blood supplier for both tier 1 trauma hospitals in the metro area (Hennepin County Medical Center and North Memorial Health).
Reach out to your neighborsĀ āĀ especially if you know they are staying home right now āĀ and ask if they need groceries or toiletry items. Offer to pick up prescriptions, give rides, or shovel their driveway. If you know them well, bring them a treat that you know they'll enjoy. Or just ask them how they're doing and let them know you are there to support.
Connect with any of the orgs aboveĀ and see if they are looking for volunteers.
Connect with a church or mosque in your area.Ā FromĀ u/MuddieMaeSuggins: "I know a lot of regular Redditors are not religious (myself included) but like it or not this is a where a lot of community organizing happens, especially in immigrant communities."
Connect with your local school's admin office and/or their PTA.Ā It's ok to reach out even if you don't have kids at the school. PTAs are organizing mutual aid for school families, safe rides, school observers.
Find an official protestĀ or other event viaĀ Indivisible,Ā 50501,Ā FREE AMERICA, orĀ MIRAC. Students at many high schools areĀ staging walk-outs; if your local school is doing this, reach out to school leadership or the PTA and ask how you can support as a community member.
Join the effort to stop Hilton from housing ICEĀ by booking hotel rooms and then cancelling at the last minute. This action can be done from home! The effort is being organized by Sunrise Movement, who are telling activists to target specific hotels one-by-one. More info:Ā SHUT DOWN HILTON
Find people in your area who are actively monitoring ICEĀ and/or stationing themselves in high-traffic areas and ask how you can help. Check for local FB events where people are organizing and just show up.
At minimum, read theĀ COPAL HandbookĀ before you go out to observe.Ā The DFL, Monarca, and other orgs have been hosting online trainings for constitutional observers (though these fill up quickly).
When you see ICE in action, start recording. Be as loud and as disruptive as possible: honk your horn, set off your car alarm, blow your whistle. Let people know that ICE is in the area. If you see someone being detained, try to get their name and a phone number to call their emergency contact.
If you do not feel comfortable observing ICE in person, there are ways you can support from home. Just ask the people who are organizing in your area. I have social anxiety, and I had never participated in any kind of political action before this past Saturday. If I can do it, you can!
Local organizers are requesting that people who help monitor ICE DO NOT participate in 1-to-1 mutual aid efforts, as these can put the families you are helping at risk.
If you have friends/acquaintances who are sympathetic but not politically active,Ā reach out to them. Show them that they're not alone in feeling helpless. Pick a few low-commitment actions from this list and do them together.

This image isn't just a fleeting news item; it's part of our daily reality in Gaza. While thousands of trucks loaded with tents, blankets, food, and medicine are held outside the Strip, prevented from entering by the Israeli occupation, we face a humanitarian catastrophe that worsens day by day. We die here every moment. We suffer constantly, and everyone ignores what we're going through.
I was injured more than 600 days ago. Shrapnel from the bombing of our house, while we were inside, is still embedded in my body. I'm still injured and unable to receive proper treatment because of the siege and the lack of medical supplies. The pain is constant, but what's worse than the pain is the feeling that we're forgotten and that everyone is ignoring what we're going through. We constantly ask for help, and everyone ignores us.
My family and I are very ill now due to the winter storm that began yesterday in Gaza. Because of this winter, we haven't been able to recover due to the lack of medicine and shelter from these recurring storms. Our tent is torn and leaking rainwater and cold air. Worse still, all our blankets and pillows are soaked. We urgently need to buy medicine and treatments, but they are very expensive because the occupation prevents the entry of medicine into Gaza. Therefore, we desperately need your help by donating so we can buy these medicines quickly. Please donate.
Worse still, I have a runny nose and severe sneezing. When I sneeze, it feels like the metal fragments (stuck in my body) are moving inside me, and I experience excruciating pain in the affected areas and my wounds. Please help me so I can buy my medication as soon as possible. Please donate.

Please do not stop talking about Palestine. I know. It is has been long. Especially since we are in the 3rd year of the accelerated genocide. It feels like nothing is working. But we have to keep boycotting, donating, and protesting. Otherwise, the settler colony will not stop. The violence increases. The famine continues. More lives will be martyred. There is the heavy rain, as well. It is pouring non-stop. The streets are flooded. The murky brown water is everywhere, drowning shelter and essentials for everyday living.
How much longer can this go on?
We have the power to help. Please consider helping my friend, Suad (@tinyheartbeat)! She is a computer engineer and a mother to a 1 year old who is ill with allergies and infections. Her husband is hospitalized at the same time! Remember: You can give as little as $1 and in your own currency, such as AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, or USD! Her fundraiser is verified (#279).
Please donate here. / Donation Match.
Tagging for reach. Please leave an ask if you wish to be removed. Thank you.
I was in a coma for five days and that is why I disappeared. I woke up to the shock of my mother being in intensive care. Please donate, speak about us, and donāt leave me alone.

I recently spoke with my dear friend Suad @suad-khaled and she gave me an update on her life as a displaced mother in south-central Gaza. I want to share with you all some of what she told me:
Our situation has become far worse than before.
My baby, Khaled, who is now 6 months old, depends on formula milk, which is either unavailable or sold at prices I simply cannot afford. Diapers are also ridiculously expensive, and even basic food has become out of reach.
Some vegetables and fruits are available in the market, but I can only afford to buy a single piece at a time, which becomes one meal for Khaled. But what about the rest of the day? What about the following days? As a mother, I can endure hunger, but how can a baby?
Even flour, which we relied on for our basic sustenance, is almost unavailable. The little we managed to buy is infested with bugs and worms, unhealthy but the only option we have left. And now, itās almost gone. What will we do after that?
Khaledās health has also worsened. He struggles to breathe due to his chest allergies, a condition that developed under these harsh circumstances. He needs regular nebulizer sessions and medication, but we can barely afford to provide them.
Here is precious little Khaled, tired and fatigued from hunger and sickness, receiving nebulizer treatment:
And here is the flour Suad and her family are forced to pick through in order to survive.
Sifting only removes the largest insects that have made their home in the flour. It does not remove larvae, detached wings, or excrement. Suad and her family are forced to eat them in order to (barely) avoid starvation.
Suadās situation has never been more dire than it is right now. Food and basic necessities are extremely scarce and expensive. And the threat of IOF attack is omnipresent.
Please, if you can spare anything at all, send something to Suad. We are her and her babyās best chance at surviving genocide.
My name is Farzana and I, along with my cousin Preya, are helping Suad collect donations so she can purchase essentials in Gaza. Aid has bee
