I don’t understand why books have shifted from having summaries on the back of the covers to having one-line reviews.
Seriously though. I want to know what the book is about. Not that someone from the Evening Standard thinks it’s a masterpiece.

I tend to forget that weight loss can be relaxed. I don’t need to bust my ass at the gym 5 days a week, I can go swimming or do yoga or a YouTube video, I can go for a walk or go bouldering with friends. I don’t need to eat perfectly clean, who cares about a tiny donut? I got so much time, I don’t need to lose 5kg in a month. Obsessing over being perfectly healthy ain’t particularily healthy. Gotta remind myself once in a while.

I’ve been quiet because I’m Indianapolis for a conference. I don’t usually do meal replacements, but I decided to try the cafe variety pack of soylent for this so I wouldn’t have to wake up super early and I could at least keep one meal vaguely healthy. I’m impressed with this! I love that it has caffeine. I’m not sure how much like coffee it tastes, but it’s totally drinkable and really I love that unlike a lot of meal replacement, it’s not overflowing with sugar. 20g protein and only 9g sugar is good for me! I also have the chai and vanilla ones, so I’ll try one of those in the morning. I’m tempted to bring one with me to the conference but I’ve been warned they’re best cold. It’s good I like it since I had to buy a 12 pack. It’d be great if they would put out a trial pack for new customers. Also, I weighed myself before I left home and I dropped to 180.4 so yay! But I’m making my official weigh in day Tuesday morning before I leave for vacation. That way I can hopefully recover a little from this conference :)

I did c25k w3d2 today. And it was awful. It wasn’t even the run. I desperately need more and higher quality sleep. I feel weak and out of it before I even start running. I don’t know what else to do aside from medication. I need a firmer bedtime too. I’m hoping that while I’m at this conference that I leave for tomorrow, I’ll sleep well in the comfy hotel bed. I may just be antisocial with my friends and turn in after the last session. My roommate is a newer mom too so I wouldnt be surprised if she was just as happy with some quiet.
Anyways, I did it even if it sucked. Even if I didnt go as far as I did Monday and even shorter than I did when I did the c25k program two years ago. Getting back to where I was is going to be a long journey.

This girl is still fighting something. It’s both really annoying and really heart breaking because she just gets so darn pathetic. You can’t even see the combo of tears, drool, and snot on her face in this picture. Hopefully she’ll cheer up soon! I leave for a few days Thursday morning, so if she doesn’t, my husband is going to have a reaaally good time solo parenting for 2.5 days. Please don’t reblog :)
