I made this out of the rage I felt from seeing transphobic, butchphobic and enbyphobic comments in my tl.
Being a lesbian is part of my identity too and I refuse to let other people tell me I am not a lesbian just because I don't fit their binary perception of things. It's so sad to see other lesbians shitting on butches and gender non-conforming or non-binary lesbians.
But hey, we are here and we're not going anywhere, I am not going anywhere. I've always been a loud lesbian and I'll always be.
Keep being loud, proud and gentle with other lesbians and be fierce with the ones who try to erase us.
This is kinda ominous ngl
Gotta compliment him on his reflexes. No hesitation. Just described exactly what he was seeing, regardless of what it was.
[VD: A weatherman is giving a report and pointing to a map, saying "feel like temperatures really take a tumble too, because after the storm-" before he is interrupted by the screen going black and then displaying a picture of some baby spinach. He says, "um," then immediately points to the screen and confidently announces, "this is baby spinach." /End VD]

Regeneration is not the return of what the thing once was; damage cannot be undone, and what doesn't kill you doesn't make you stronger, it's just that you were already strong and lucky enough to survive it.
Personal illustration of my original character, which is a Kotie, fictional fantasy feline. (This is an artistic and metaphorical interpretation, not a 100% anatomically correct thing. Plus, this species is fictional. Do not use this as anatomy reference, please)
Damage cannot be undone and sometimes the consequences reach you many-many years later. Sometimes it hurts badly. And some wounds never fully heal.
This wingless thing

why is it always "being fat puts pressure on ur joints" but never "being skinny makes u more vulnerable to joint/bone injury" like lets be real im not playing this game with u where u get to pretend u know anything about medicine much less my personal case . u are going to have things happen to u and ur body no matter what size u are and pretending fat people are somehow the only people who can possibly sustain weight related injuries PISSES ME OFF . be fucking serious

Having a traumatic childhood means you cannot talk even objectively about your basic foundational experiences without it being "venting", even if you're not actually venting. You just straight up have a huge chunk of your life you can't talk about, full stop, without it being trauma dumping.
And it not being socially acceptable to talk about your own childhood is super alienating. Sometimes people want to know why, and any answer you can give them is going to be off putting.
It's to the point I get irritated when something I said is framed as venting when I'm literally just talking about my life experiences, doing my best to keep emotion out of it.
when I was in high school, I overheard two older students talking about a friend of theirs.
One of them said something like, "it doesn't bother me that [Friend] was in residential mental health treatment, I just wish they wouldn't talk about it ALL the time".
The other replied, "Well, that was all of last year for them. So when they say 'when I was in treatment,' it's like when you say 'last year'."
I try to remember that any time someone says something that sounds Shocking to me. sometimes one person's scary special crisis is another person's last year.
If you want to be accepting of mental illness, you need to accept the fact that some people's everyday lives are going to be terrifying to you. That doesn't mean they don't get to talk about it. Stop forcing hurt, isolated people to become even MORE hurt and isolated because you can't fathom toughening up a bit.
ngl I feel like this archetype of the trans man who transitions and passes and then begins to join cis men in their misogyny and say awful things about girls without batting an eye is probably more based in hypothetical than anecdotal experience. not saying it cant happen, but all the trans men ive ever talked to are deeply disturbed by chauvanist men. theres an innate sense of "oh this guy is a creep" when talking to misogynists. and trans men may have had experiences of being too uncomfortable or afraid to speak out against cis men when theyre being misogynistic, but they dont just fall in rank because most often they know what its like to be a woman.
and its not like men are the only groups that come together to be misogynistic, either... some of the most misogynistic people ive met were girls; "pick mes" or "not a girls girl" etc. I think this idea that trans men are somehow more susceptible to becoming misogynists in order to fit in with sexist cis men is rooted in the terf belief that we are traitors who will kill all our morals to be men. but thats just not true.
