your recent post made me think of something "Keep this up and we might even fill the missing Elite Four spot before I turn ghost. - Agatha" what exactly happened with that fourth elite four slot? Right now there's only three (Lorelei, Bruno, and Agatha), plus the champion. It's called the Elite Four, so... why's there only three right now? Was somebody once there, and then left, and now the team's scrambling to find somebody else? If so, who?

Yeah there's an Elite Four missing and Lance's running solo with no mention of a former Champion in the picture and the League's reputation is thin enough that he can't afford any drastic measures or look flawed in any way and Giovanni gets to dip from his Gym for ages without repercussions and especially the Johto Gym Leaders seem less dedicated to the job, what's with all the side quests they have you do

Yeah they're too young. Lance gets to stay Champion as long as 1) there's no Champion title holder aged 18 and above who wants to replace him 2) he still fulfills the tasks laid out by the job, which includes mentoring anyone who wins the title and agrees to a mentorship.

Thanks! The secret is to worldbuild like you're 1v1-ing Ryoko Kui with full intention of winning (only do this if you're fine with losing because you won't win) (yet. She's human and so am I.) So everything's analogous to an existing irl thing, low on the jargon and technobabble, and high on the physicality

That's very sweet of you but I'm the wrong target for admiration in your case, sorry. While it is true that the art circles that you were in sucks and you were right to give up on them, my success has little to do with whether or not I draw traditionally or digitally, because, in a very cynical way, what sells is a story, and as long as the story is good, most people will pay attention. It's easy and quick to scroll past a drawing, it's slower if there's text on it. My genuine appreciation for comics as an art form came after my choice to draw comics as my Fandom Niche

There's also the fact that I have been doing this for years, and I've done a lot of mainstream notesfarming during those years. Don't get me wrong, the art Was good and you wouldn't be able to tell, but they were made for the sole purpose of Getting Popular

Although... Maybe you should think about how much you're drawing for yourself, and how much for others, and the ratio of finding joy and fulfillment in the craft to the attention. Nothing wrong with the latter, I sure as hell haven't drawn anything that's not for posting in months, but if you're that broken up about it then it's time to reconsider your tactics. Why do you post art? Who is it for? What do you think they want? Is it something you want to provide? Is it personally fulfilling to provide these things?

On that related note, did fairy type always exist? Did Whitney need to change out Clefairy with a different pokemon to go with her scary Miltank?

I haven't thought much of the GCS era cause I haven't played much of it! While I love doing research, I haven't felt the need to do any research on Lyra/Crystal yet because that's in the far future of the AU and we've barely gotten started

All pokemon are going by their modern typings and I'm hardly sticking to the 151 for the comic, but that doesn't necessarily stop Whitney from having her pink menace! It would be hypocritical, and frankly I don't think anyone in-universe can stop her. Though the prospect of Whitney with this cheeky nightmare from one of her B2W2 teams...

I just wanted to say I saw some of Leaf's lore for your au. While it's scary and triggering for me I think it's important for stories like hers to be told and I'm really glad that you also put a trigger warning on stuff like that.

Contrary to how much I wrote about it, I haven't put much thought into the details of this at all!

But Steel clan, good god. Whether it's fighting over who gets control of which parts of transportation (Water and Ground), or construction (Fighting), or raw materials (Rock), it's always in clans chatter and being aggressive-defensive about it. Part of this is due to it having been a less influential clan in the past that's only gained power with the industrial age
