For those of you who don’t know
Today is the day Ireland votes to either repeal or save the 8th ammendment, which grants the unborn the right to life. This basically means that abortion is illegal in this country and is only permitted under very special circumstances, like being moments away from dying and when I say moments, I mean moments.
Too many women in my country have been denied treatments for various health issues because a previous generation decided that an unborn child, no matter how far along they are, has a bigger right to live than the woman carrying the child. If a woman is caught with abortion pills or is trying to procure an abortion, she and any doctor that may have tried to help her faces up to FOURTEEN YEARS IN PRISON. That sentence is longer than what the father of the child may face if he raped the mother.
If a woman in this country wants an abortion she must travel to another country to be shamed, threatened and insulted by people holding signs outside of a clinic who don’t even know her. Afterwards, she cannot seek comfort in her own home until she is back on a plane to this backwards country. Too many women have made this journey.
To any followers I have that also live in Ireland, I urge you to vote YES. Remember, any woman could be in need of an abortion and your vote is what she needs.

I don’t care if I lose followers for this. In fact, I couldn’t give a flying fuck. This is my country and this is MY opinion.
Until the results of the referendum are revealed my blog will look like this and I will only reblog referendum posts. I am still on hiatus but my aesthetics will resume on the 1st or 2nd of June. Thank you for understanding.
