I find it interesting that in a film chock-full of ultra recognizable A-list celebrities, the face of Agamemnon is :

kept entirely hidden for a really long part of the movie,

then barely visible in the one scene where he's not wearing his mask,

and that face is the only one among the famous characters that is not portrayed by an ultra recognizable A-list celebrity

if there was only the last point I'd dismiss it by saying that actor was probably the best one and that's all, but with the two other choices that were made ? In a movie that's explicitly interested in adressing the shame of the male survivors who had to dishonor the gods and dishonor themselves in order to accomplish what they did, I think it says something about Agamemnon actually being, out of all those shameful men, the least worthy of recognition. It is his ambition that ruined so many lives and ultimately it is his ambition that brought darkness in the life of Odysseus and all of Greece.

Tldr Amnesty International, global human rights organisation, published a report called 'A growing threat: the anti-rights movement in the UK'. In it is detailed, amongst others, a whole bunch of transphobic groups and organisations, including Beira's Place, JK Rowling's trans exclusionary sexual violence support service. JK Rowling threw a shit fit and got Amnesty to take the report down by threatening libel. This was obviously not enough, because you can't appease a fascist, so now she's going to bankroll a bunch of lawsuits anyway through the JK Rowling Women's Fund.*
