I was told by someone who applied there that one of jobs in interviewing for actually tests you on excel in the interview so now I’m having to take an excel class in preparation.

There’s also a website called Lynda which a lot of schools are providing memberships for for free! Lynda basically gives you training and a certification in a whole host of things from coding to data entry to photoshop, copyediting, pretty much anything. I always suggest to say you’re proficient in whatever and then as soon as you get a call back take a Lynda tutorial so you don’t look like a clown during your interview.
