This definitely brought flashbacks of Tsukasa calling him a liar, thus recalling Hanako's guilt from the past.

I made a short Teru x Tired! OC and wanted to share it here! If you have any suggestions for the continuation of the story, please lmk!! I might not post immediately, but I'll try my best to add on to this little snippet as soon as I can! (I don't know how fanfics really work on tumblr, so please give me any advice if possible! Thank you for reading!)

Izuki was tired. Not the normal tired, more like I’ve been tired for so long but kept it to myself and now it’s out and about, tired.

Obviously, it was impossible to hide it from Teru. She kept making mistakes in the papers she had to work on in the student council, and the teachers were starting to reprimand her in class.

It was impossible to hide it from anyone really.

It was evening, and the sun was going to set in a few minutes. Akane, Teru, and Izuki were meant to be closing the student council room up for the day. Akane was doing most of it though. Izuki was dozing off on her desk, as well as lost in her thoughts.

“Are you going to help me or not?” Akane snapped, bringing Izuki back to reality. “I understand Secretary is not helping, but you?”

“Aoii~ respect your elders~” Teru hummed. “When did I say we were supposed to do it? I said, ‘let’s clean the room.’”

“That implies that we’re supposed to be cleaning together you bastard!” Akane glared at Teru.

Teru shot a glare back, which made Akane cower. “You want one of our tutoring sessions again?”

“No.” Akane’s voice quivered, ending the discussion. He organized and put the papers away, all by himself.

Izuki, who heard all of this, eventually worked up the strength to speak. Her voice was quiet however. “Sorry… Vice President.”

Akane simply waved his hand dismissively, picking his things up. He walked to the door and was about to leave when he spoke without turning around. “Feel better, Secretary. Don’t overwork yourself.” 

He left without waiting for a response.

Teru, who’d watched the small exchange, looked at Izuki. “He’s right, Shinseki-San.”

“I know…” Izuki sighed, lifting her head up. She seemed to have been hiding a yawn however. “Just a week left… then it’s summer break.”

“We still need to have a few meetings over the break.” Teru mentioned, looking at her pitifully.

Izuki stretched, pulling her hair back before letting it go. “I know that too… but at least they’re spread out. I can manage.”

Teru considered her for a moment.

“If you say so. But I’m always here to help, if you need any.”

Hanako/Amane: He would smile in your direction. Amane would probably smile, but subtly and gently.

Nene: She would wave happily with a smile.

Aoi: She would wave calmly with a smile.

Akane: He would just look you dead in the face but wouldn't wave back.

Kou: He would wave energetically and come towards you (if there's no rush of course) to ask how your day's going.

Mitsuba/Sousuke (back when he was alive): Would look at you like you're a peasant but would wave back. Sousuke would wave politely due to the facade he had when he was alive.

Yako: Would look at you like you are peasant without waving back.

Tsuchigomori: Would wave, but not with enthusiasm, more like he's obligated to do so.

Teru: Wouldn't notice you waving at all.

Katakuri: Would wave with a grin.

Tsukasa (Apparition and Alive): Would wave while yelling "HELLO (SCREAMS YOUR NAME AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS)!" He'd probably grin unsettlingly before waving at you.

Sakura: Gentle, modest wave.

Natsuhiko: Lazy wave, lazy grin.

These were written quite randomly so don't mind how messy the ordering is 😅

I bet you guys remember this chapter, right? I was thinking about it the other day, and realized something.

Teru is unintentionally projecting the way he was parented on Kou in this chapter.

We all know that Teru has been doing exorcist work since he was very young. His father put a lot of pressure on him, making him to be the "perfect" son, both in exorcisms and at school. Teru doesn't want Kou to have to be bound by doing exorcisms and being perfect, thus why he has a soft spot for his brother.

That's why he keeps all of his thoughts about Kou being weak, and "playing hero" to himself.

But here, Teru says all those thoughts out loud. He believes his brother is "So much more helpful to him, back at home cooking dinner or something."
