Looks Like Rain
Wiping tears away from a face familiar over the loss of a complete stranger. His agony and fight so similar to yours. Your mouth opens with shock. Your stomach churns into knots. You feel your eyes water in response. You choke back your own existence. It knocked on a door so close to home that you feel a piece of yourself die. The windows shake but they donβt budge. Your feet are on solid ground as you wish the earth would release you from it grips already. You are afraid. You have hope. You have nothing left to give yet more is left to take. You get antsy and want to use again just to quiet the hurt youβve been trying to contain. Everything hurts. Hurt everything.
