kissed sweet as a summer sky, 

made pink by the passing time, 

but still a sweetened desire i 

hold against my tongue like 

something sacred.

front teeth scraping seed. 

peeling sweet fruit off each

ridge. this is what starvation

is. cool flesh to ward away

an outside heat.

hips to hips. desire to desire. 

we are pressed together. try 

to live in each other’s skin.
