I figured that I should do an intro post for this blog but I was putting it off because I haven't ever done an intro post on Tumblr before but oh well, here we go!
I'm Rei/Reign and this is my blog that originally started as just a Marble Hornets meme blog and has now expanded into memes + whatever else I feel like making. Either way, it's all Marble Hornets related. I love all the characters and, if you couldn't already tell, I am both a big fan of angst and a multishipper. So there's a variety of things here for you to choose from.
Edit: I'm the guy who makes funny memes but you will also be subjected to emotional damage here. Please, enjoy your stay.
Asks are open and you can send anything you want, just be mindful to not to be rude or awful. We're here to have fun, not be bullies to each other. (But feel free to bully the characters. Some of them definitely deserve it <3)

All the characters have their own tags so I'm not gonna list all of them out. I mainly tag based off of who the meme is directly about. So some characters might be in the picture but not tagged if they aren't the one the meme is about.
Ships are also tagged with "#mh (ship name)" along with the characters involved. Not every meme that has multiple people in it is a ship post. Only the ones I make with the ship in mind get tagged for the ship. You are more than welcome to tag ships for whatever you want though, I'm not gonna stop you.

Did you look up what Madagascar hissing cockroaches sound like when they hiss? They kinda look like beetles imo unless it's a firefly then they don't look like beetles

Stink bug wings make noise??? I never knew that, if it's not a range I can hear
They do. It's not so loud if you have something else playing. But their wings are loud when my room is silent
They also have a pretty touch exoskeleton so they make a thump/thud sound whenever they land because they just?? Slam against surfaces??? For some reason???? I do not understand them

Maybe it's the temps in your room attracting the stink bugs? Or a smell
No clue lol. My room is the coldest one in our house so??? Idk what stink bugs prefer temp wise. But it's usually just like 1 every so often. Mostly when the weather changes between seasons. I see them in my room mostly in the transition from spring to summer and the transition between summer and fall. But they don't usually show up in my room in the middle of summer. I did have one in my room yesterday 😅 but the weather here has been fluctuating hard so I'm not too surprised that it took so long for one to show up
I tend to find rolly pollys after storms/heavy rain since they drink through the water in the air. Good luck.
Stick bugs won't really move in your hands if you pick one up. Madagascar hissing cockroaches too but they do make a hiss if startled which can be scary(their also bigger bugs than rolly Polly's are and you can't just go outside and find them)
Yeah I looked up a picture of Madagascar hissing cockroaches and I am not eager to touch one of those any time soon 😅
As for stink bugs. I don't care if they don't move around too much if I hold one. Their wings are so loud and they startle me when they take off for flight and bounce off of my walls when they move around. So holding one is probably not going to happen anytime soon lol
You could use a cup to catch the stink bug and then slide paper underneath it so you can pick up the stink bug. Generally when I've picked up a bug in a cup and paper they do calm down. I don't know why stink bugs freak out when people or pets get close, I don't like it either they aim for my eyes :(
Rolly Polly's will be chill in your hands when in ball form but will explore after calming down. They do fall easily so if you pick one up to hold, stay near the ground and try to keep the bug on the side facing your face. I've never had them crawl up my arm and stuff, only towards my fingers and back of my hand
I'm gonna be honest. I think stink bugs and I are mortal enemies doomed to be terrified of each other fkr all eternity. And for some fucking reason they keep finding a way into my bedroom. Especially during the summer and fall??? Weird little creatures.
I'll keep an eye out for some Rolly Pollies after I get some gloves (i don't currently have any in my house). Maybe I'll take pictures if I do manage to hold one without freaking out
I love dinosaurs and the ocean. And the idea we have massive things in the ocean so finding out we could have had a massive octopus potentially displaying behavior like octopuses today is awesome. The potential behavior I'm referring to is lateralisation, which is when you(or an octopus) has a jaw side preferred, which is so cool. And it opens more doors to us potentially finding more octopus fossils, which are rare due to the lack of fossilization they do but their jaws hold up well

I'm meaning the giant octopus we found that showed it had intelligence during the Cretaceous period specifically not the kraken mythic. It's 6 ft longer than a mosasaurus and is thought to have eaten big marine reptiles(along with fish and crustaceans). Which means it probably ate plesiosaurs and mosasaurs too. Two of my favorite dinosaurs got eaten by my newest favorite dinosaur

Can you use gloves and or long sleeves when attempting to pick them up?
I...actually haven't tried that. 🫣 In all honesty, the few times I've attempted to touch a bug lately have been an attempt at getting them out of my room. Which I have literally cried about because they wouldn't stay in one place and kept moving around suddenly so I've just asked my mom or her boyfriend to get them removed from the premises. It's also only really been stink bugs and...they unnerve me in a way that I can't explain
I will have to give the gloves and long sleeves a shot this summer. Preferably on a bug that doesn't move too quickly because I think I'll jump out of my skin if they do
I'm more uncomfortable with them when I'm in my house or a building or my car and they appear. I don't usually have an issue with them if I'm outside canoeing or camping or whatever. But I mostly don't like them if they land on me or crawl on me
I got lice a lot as a kid and one time ran through a pissed off fire ant hill because I couldn't see it after my grandma poured bleach on it and flattened it and they bit my legs up pretty bad. So I just really really really don't like them on me. I'm honestly so itchy right now just thinking about it ugh 😖
I've tried to interact with fireflies/lightening bugs and ladybugs and stuff like that. But I always freak out when I feel them crawl on me :( which sucks!! I wanna like them and not hurt them and be able to hold them sometimes but it's an ongoing process

One of my favorite things about sea animals is how large they can be. And myths and legends about how much larger they used to be in the past. I love love love how scary and intimidating the ocean is <3
