How to put âwrote fan-fictionâ on your rĂŠsumĂŠ:
Leveraged an inventory of established fictional character and setting elements to generate a disruptive custom-curated narrative entertainment asset.
I worked in HR, handling applications and interviews, and if someone turned in that string of techno babble nonsense, I would have rejected them out of hand.
A resume doesnât need to sound fancy or overly technical, it needs to tell us why we should hire you.
âIndependent novelist/writerâ is more than sufficient here. If you want to express the skills that fan fiction taught you, something like, âcreative writing, editing, and publication,â will get you a lot further than⌠Whatever that just was.
A resume should be tailored to the position, if you can afford the time and energy for that. But if not, then just think about what writing got fandom taught you. How to respond to criticism, how to present a professional pubic face, how to correct punished mistakes, creative thinking, project planning, persuasion via emotional leverage, html formatting, office suite fluency.
There are a lot of actual, marketable skills that go into fan fiction.

SIGNAL BOOST!!!
When I was little my momâs meatloaf was my favorite food. But ONLY her meatloaf. I didnât like anyone elseâs, and she told me that she would teach me how to make it when I was older. And when I was like 19? She finally taught me, but she told me never to tell anyone else and I was like weird but okay
Anyway, she was super fucking homophobic and abusive to me when I told her I was gay, so hereâs the recipe
4-6 lbs of Hamburger/turkey burger
1 pk onion soup mix OR ranch mix
1 TBs ketchup
1 Tbs spicy brown mustard,
1 Tbs bbq sauce
1 Tbs steak sauce
1 egg
mix, shape into a loaf in a big pan, and bake at 350 for 2 hrs (maybe 2 and a half if youâre feeling dangerous)
You can get almost all of these ingredients at the dollar store, and have leftovers if itâs just you. The leftovers make great tacos if (taco seasoning is also like a dollar). Enjoy your revenge loaf
here's a mashed potato recipe from my homophobic mother that i swore to never share that would pair perfectly!
(6 servings)
-2lbs red potatoes
-1 cup butter (2 sticks)
-1 cup cream cheese (1 pack)
-Chives (optional)
-Salt & Pepper to taste
1. drop those bad boys (potatoes) in a big ol pot. U don't even have to chop them just wash them
2. boil til soft!
3. Drain
4. Mash (usually they're small enough you can use a fork if u don't have one of those squashers) until its a pretty chunky mix
5. add the other stuff. Keep mashing
I like my mashed potato consistancy more lumpy but its all up to you!! Peel the potatoes or keep them on, it literally makes the creamiest fluffiest mashed potatoes which she always served with the nastiest fuckin meatloaf
Now if anybody got some revenge rolls and revenge green bean casserole we'll get a full meal
Got room for desert? Cus my Grandma was just a generaly evil old hag who was abusive to my mum and my siblings also you guessed it since I came out I was not said hello to at christmas
She made pretty god Dampfnudeln (its like a sweet bread rool you eat hot and with vanilla sauce)
1. Put 300 gram flour into a bowl and make an indent in the middle
2.combine
20 gram yeast
1 tea sp. Brown sugar
3 tbsp milkÂ
mix until smooth
3.mix into part of the flour but leave a big flour rim on the outside
4.set 30 gram of Butter on the flour rim and cover everything with a towel
let sit till you see bubbles in the dough
5. add
 1/8 liter luke warm milk
30 gram Sugar
one pack of vanilla sugar
a pinch of salt
2 eggsÂ
and knead the dough until smooth
6. put
 1/8 luke warm milk
30 gram of Butter
1 pack of vanilla sugarÂ
into a heat resistant glass bowl and let melt (the glass bowl is quite important)
7. Form about 12 dough rolls and put them into the milk
8. Cover with a lid (any lid will go it does not need to be sealed air tight)
Let bake in the pre heated oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes or until they start to get brown and fluffy
9. Serve with vanilla sauce or fresh fruit
Behold the Fuck You buffet
literally most things that people write off as just âtexturesâ to use in graphics are stolen & unsourced material created by artists or photographers NOT meant to be used as elements in projects without royalty payments. you can say âitâs just random tumblr posts they donât careâ but you wouldnât want someone to take your work and edit into their work so they can be praised for their beautiful style and creativity even if they just post it on social media w/o profit, would you?? so maybe if you browse pinterest or google images for pictures without finding the original source, youâre using images that youâre not allowed to use without realizing it.
you see it on here a lot especially in (i wonât link anything but iâm sure you know what i mean) those album track âaestheticsâ posts, au âaestheticâ posts (ie where people use âpinterest-yâ images to kinda craft a visual au), and even just rather typical graphics that have a lot of âtextureâ elements. and texture packs too!! thatâs often where the problem starts; people just collect images (often literal art), compile them in a folder w/o sources, then insist no one can repost those images w/o crediting the person who compiled them. what???
SO may i suggest some of my fave places you can get FREE, ROYALTY-FREE elements that are totally legal to use
creativemarket has 6 free high-quality resources (textures, brushes, fonts, etc), different every week! wow awesome i check it every week

She/her also personally fought against transwomen in prison seeking gender affirmation surgery...
Hereâs an article that gives more details on the story, and what Harris said about it. The key points:
It was the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation that refused the surgery to the inmates. When the inmates fought the policy in court, as Attorney General of California, it was Harrisâs job to represent the Department. Yes, she did it, but it wasnât something she decided on her own to do. (Also, not for nothing, the inmates won the case.)
Her characterization of the episode:Â Â âOn that issue I will tell you I vehemently disagree and in fact worked behind the scenes to ensure that the Department of Corrections would allow transitioning inmates to receive the medical attention that they required, they needed and deserved,â Harris said.
A policy now exists for inmates to receive transition-related care in California prisons (although apparently the DoC isnât doing a great job of holding up its end of the bargain*--quelle surprise). Â
(*For the record, Harris finished her time as AG and became a Senator shortly after this agreement was reached, so itâs someone elseâs job now to enforce it.)Â
The thing to keep in mind here is that, as Attorney General, Kamala Harris couldnât wave her hand and have everything in the entire California Department of Justice go exactly as she wanted it--and she wonât be able to as Vice President, either. We currently have a president who thinks thatâs how it works, and weâre damned lucky heâs wrong. Â
She had (and will have to) work with large number of people who hold different views. (Another article I read said that the California Department of Justice, which she ran as AG, employs about 4,800 people--thatâs a lot of different views.) If she had refused to back the Department of Corrections in their case, she would have alienated people whose cooperation she needed to be able to rely on. (If she even had the option of not backing them and staying AG--Iâm not sure how it works, exactly.) Even people who agreed with her about the specific matter might have disapproved of her hanging her subordinates out to dry. (Another thing our current president does constantly--notice how Harris isnât saying that the person in her office who actually wrote these briefs is a bad guy that she barely knew.)
So hereâs what actually happened when Kamala Harris âfought against transwomen in prison seeking gender affirmation surgeryâ:
The Department of Corrections had a policy denying gender-affirmation surgery to inmates. Â
Two inmates fought that policy in court.
Harris defended that policy in court (or, more accurately, was the supervisor of the person who did so--but the legal documents went out under her signature, and she takes responsibility for their content).
Harris also worked to change the policy. Â
If youâve had a job, youâve probably been in the position of having to carry out a policy that you donât agree with. Your choices are to quit your job in protest or stay and argue that the policy should change. If you pick option B, you still have to follow the policy while youâre working to change it--again, just about the only person in the world who doesnât know this is Donald J. Trump, because heâs never had a real job where he answered to anybody. Â
What this incident shows is that Kamala Harris is accustomed to working in a system where she doesnât always get her own way, and that she knows how to lose the battle to win the war. As VP, sheâs going to need those skills--especially if the Republicans keep the Senate, but even if the Democrats sweep everything in November, weâre notoriously bad at all pulling in the same direction. Weâve had about enough of the âIâm taking my ball and going homeâ style of leadership. Â
This.
I get it, I really do - but Trump has literally stripped away rights from trans kids and fucked the careers of trans people in the military. Pence believes in conversion therapy.
We can remember and discuss these issues, but at the end of the day, Trump/Pence is the greater evil and we need to vote in a unified way to get them out of office because the second term would be so much worse. Donât vote independent, just suck it up and recognize that weâre not gonna get a perfect candidate ever.
Voting Trump is a face full of glass shards, and a vote for an independent is a vote for Trump. This isnât complicated.
I had not seen this explanation, and Iâm reblogging it because I probably have followers who havenât either.

In Super Paper Mario, a speech bubbleâs poorly-aligned tail makes it appear as though Peach is saying âHOT BABE IN ROOM!â. Francisâs speech bubbles are coded to come out of the resting position of his mouth, but as he throws his body backwards during this animation, his speech bubble seems to come out of nowhere. In addition, by coincidence, the bubbleâs tail lines up with Peachâs face, resulting in this effect.

Eric was well known for just trying to sell goods as a side hustle and never actually hurt anybody.
These were all murders. They were not accidental. All of these innocent people: men, women AND children. Were murdered because they were black. Not because they were violent. Not because they were threatening, but because they were black. Something has to change. We have to MAKE a change. Black lives matter. Black men. Black women. Black children. Non-Binary blacks. Trans blacks. Every single one of their lives matter. Your friends. Your neighbors. Your teachers. Your brothers. Your sisters. We are the change.

WHY IS DRAWING HANDS SO FUCKING HARD
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
you just gotta figure out how to do the mitten thing! (everybody does it differently, so whatever works for you)
make a little mitten shape, a bump for the big thumb muscle, a line for where you want to knuckles to be (and where the fingers end), and you can work out how the hand does hand things~
you can make them more simple or more real, however you want! hands are weird, so donât worry if they keep looking wrong for a while, once you figure out what works for you, itâll click. If you practice like 10 or-so basic hand shapes, you can make slight variations on all those, and 10 turns into 20 different hand poses~
Good luck, you can do it, practice until you find your groove, hands are stupid, donât worry if they donât look right!
you are a fucking saint x2
I DO THIS
youâre lucky lioâs a moronsexual, galo

Hey so the trolley problem is dumb because the real person at fault for any of the deaths is the person who designed the trolley without an emergency braking system, the people who put in the purchase order for a trolley without an emergency braking system, the people who approved a PO for a trolley without an emergency braking system, the people who delivered a trolley without an emergency braking system, the organization that inspected and certified a trolley without an emergency braking system, and the operator who did not make a huge stink about being assigned to a trolley without an emergency braking system.
Whether you pull the lever is irrelevant, because a whoooole mess of people fucked up for you to be in that hypothetical situation.
Seriously, like, as a professional engineer, I find the premise of the trolley problem offensive. Cause like, so many safety regulations have been violated that it's just... insane.
"But, Cody, what if there was an emergency braking system, and it failed?"
Failure to perform regular maintenance and inspection. So, it's still someone else's fault.
"What if maintenance and inspections were done correctly, and it still failed?"
Some engineer somewhere failed to design a failsafe with the necessary redundancies. Again, it's someone else's fault.
"What about sabotage?"
The saboteur is obviously to blame.
"What if it's just a freak accident?"
Once again there's that engineer failing to place redundancies.
"What if it was just an act of God, and the engineer and everyone else did everything right?"
Then God is to blame. Duh. Not sure why this is so hard to get.
Any accident investigator will tell you that an accident is caused by a chain of incidents, and there were always several places the disaster could have been stopped.
Trolley problems are just philosophers being cruel to their audiences.
I would look at whoever is tying people to trolley tracks. That might be the issue right there.
