Puss was born and raised in Spain, and his actor is Spanish. Hence making Puss Spanish, not Latino.

As for Kitty, considering her quinceañera line and her actress being Mexican, she is Mexican by canon.

And if we're gonna go the route of the characters being the same as their actors. Perrito is Mexican as well. And his actor is queer which explains why I kept getting queer vibes from him. 🤣

BUSTER KEATON IS NOT JUST A STUNTMAN

THEY WERE ACROBATS.

THEY TOOK BABY BUSTER UP HIGH IN THE AIR WITH THEM.

THEY DROPPED HIM.

LUCKILY SOMEONE WHO WAS STANDING UNDER THEM CAUGHT BABY BUSTER.

THAT MAN WAS HARRY HOUDINI. 

HARRY HOUDINI SAVED BUSTER KEATON’S LIFE.

Okay so, his parents were, in fact, in a traveling medicine show with Houdini. According to family legend, Houdini gave Buster his name after the kid, at six months, fell down a flight of stairs and landed unharmed at his feet.

But Keaton’s family weren’t acrobats (even though Joe Keaton had a mean high kick); they were actually vaudeville comedians.

But that didn’t make Buster’s job any less dangerous. When he was little, his father would literally throw him across the stage and occasionally at members of the audience if they were getting too saucy about Buster’s mom. When he got older he and his dad would chase each other around while swinging brooms or just kick at each other as part of their satirical act. But as far as Buster ever remembered, he loved almost every minute of it, except the time his father knocked him out because he mistimed a high kick.

Buster once said he figured he’d broken every bone in his body at some point in his life. The high jump stunt where he almost hit the real deck is featured in “Hard Luck,” not ‘The High Jump,’ but the actual footage of the amazing stunt was lost until recently.

Also, he snapped his neck while filming “Sherlock, Jr.,” not “The General.” The amazing thing is that he really did get up and go back to work–he didn’t actually know he broke his neck until a doctor’s appointment twelve years later!

I don’t know about the hip and elevator thing, but his giant shoe got caught in a custom-made escalator while filming “The Electric House.” The escalator freaked out, throwing Buster off the second story and breaking his ankle. He was so disappointed in general that he scrapped everything he’d filmed for the short and redid it a year or so later after his ankle healed.

I also don’t believe he was hurt in the falling house stunt (“Steamboat Bill Jr”) but it was apparently so close that some of the men on the crew had to leave because it was stressing them out. That, and in his autobiography he said he didn’t care if that particular stunt killed him at the time, because his recent ex-wife had taken his kids and the movie studio was tightening their grip so he was v sad. And yet he ended up saying he was one of the happiest of the silent film greats when he was older.

So everything else about this is true! He survived WWI, alcoholism, and what was practically a death of his career and still believed he’d had a pretty great life.
