Welcome to the Journals of the Unknown: Archive!
Who am I: You can call me Jay, and I’m a 19 year old Computer Scientist student from Brazil. As my major can tell, I have been deeply fascinated by computers for as long as I can remember, and was introduced to this world at a very young age.
Why did I create this blog: When I was fairly young, my grandmother was struggling with memory issues and she decided to start playing occult object games on her Facebook to try and keep her memory sharp. I used to help her with the puzzle solving, as she only wanted the occult object part of it. The two of us came accross various game that I still hold dear to my heart, such as Criminal Case and one that was called Gardens of Time. None of them struck a cord as hard as Journals of te Unknown did - for the both of us. Nowadays, I am sad to announce that Journals of the Unknown is untraceable, as I can’t even find the official Facebook page for it, and each day that passes I feel as if I am losing more and more of this game that meant so much for my grandmother.
What will I be doing: I’ll be mostly recapping the stuff that happened on the game, making some of my headcanons and fanfictions public, and attempting to overall save as many files as I can on how this game worked and how it was presented. As of the time that I am posting this, I have started to gather some gameplays to upload it to Google Drive if anything happens to the channels that uploaded them, but I’ll be sure to link their videos for as long as the channels are up and not the Drive files, as support for the creators. I hope I’ll eventually reach some people that played this game and could help me with anything.
That’s it, really. Thank you for sticking by, and I hope you enjoy the archive!
