A fucked up thing my brain made me think about is Joel in his lowest and darkest moment during the early years of the outbreak getting either drunk or so messed up to the point he'd start telling Tommy that he was to blame for Sarah's death, and Tommy took it to heart because he'd already convinced himself that it was true.

And years later Joel apologises for it as their relationship gets better just for him to die and for Tommy to start convincing himself he caused Joel's death, too. He has nightmares constantly of Joel screaming at him telling him *he's* the reason he and Sarah are dead.

Should I watch The Mandalorian? I am not a Star Wars enjoyer, matter of fact it bores me to an unbelievable degree, but my dad is insistent that I'd like it. I love Pedro Pascal, so idk if his insistence is purely because of that, or if he genuinely thinks I'd enjoy it despite it being Star Wars.

Season three is gonna come out and they're going to give Abbot a flaw y'all can't ignore (he already has many but everyone focuses on how sexy he is so he can't possibly have awful traits!!) and instead of going "oh, he's an amazingly complex character, something that we've been lacking in media for a while now", everyone is going to go "noah wyle ruined Abbot because he was jealous of shawn".

I always wonder what the second game would have looked like if Tommy HAD taken Ellie to the Fireflies himself.

I'm under the belief that Tommy would save Ellie if he found out she'd be killed for the cure, not particularly because he wanted to keep her alive and didn't care about the cure, but because he realises that if he returned to Jackson without Ellie, then Joel would disappear or kill himself, and Tommy cares deeply about Joel enough to not want that, even with how rocky their relationship was at that point in the story.

So I wonder, if Tommy took Ellie and killed the Fireflies to keep her alive, what would TLOU2 look like? Tommy would've killed Jerry, which means Abby getting revenge would still be happening. Would Joel and Tommy simply be swapped, or would Joel go out for revenge on his own accord or go with Ellie himself to Seattle. Would their story be them rebuilding their relationship after Ellie felt so heartbroken by him handing her off to Tommy?

EDIT SEPTEMBER (READ): please be warned that the first episode of season one is ~6GB compared to just a few hundred MB, probably related to the frame width being 3840x2160 instead of 1920x1080 like the rest. this may be a concern for some individuals due to storage space. i can confirm it is not malware as i have had it saved since the start of the year without affecting anything. if you need or prefer to find a smaller file size, i recommend skipping that one in the gdrive when going through it and torrenting just the single. ↓

trans tommy but in the way that sarah was his mini me because she looked exactly how he did when he was her age and after she died joel wasn't able to look at him without feeling grief, and that's why he became so cruel toward tommy (implied anyway) because he subconsciously associated him with pain and stopped seeing tommy as his brother and instead as something he needs to keep at an arm's length.

tommy never really catches onto that being the reaosn and spends the next twenty years wondering if joel ever actually saw him as a man or as his little brother and so he also starts to subconsciously associate joel with discomfort and pain and they spend those five years in jackson slowly overcoming those buried feelings just for joel to die and for tommy to now have it solidified that joel's name and his face means pain and after a few years he can barely remember his face because he hasn't been able to bring himself to look at any photos of him

i'm not a good artist by any means but I keep having this idea of drawing Tommy and Joel to the 500 miles song and it would basically start off with a picture of a kid joel holding baby tommy for the first time and each lyric is them at different ages until the "lord i'm 500 hundred miles..." and then the "from my home" bit would be a post-Seattle Tommy standing or sitting next to Joel's grave
