The Hargreeves siblings and technology
And by technology, I mean phones and cameras.
Just. Klaus getting a camera and snapping the most random, embarrassing photos of his siblings. Luther mid sneeze, Diego shoving a muffin in his mouth, Allison putting on mascara and pulling that face, Five staring at his sandwich in betrayal after he dropped it on the floor accidentally, Ben making a grimace behind Fiveās back while heās on one of his āIām the keeper of this familyās brain cellsā speeches, Vanya yawning so wide you can see her tonsils in the picture. He prints the pictures and tapes them all over the house.
Luther takes artsy photos of nature and environment, mostly, but there is a fair amount of photos of his family too. A few goofy pics, but most of them are just nice family moments when nobody is trying to maim anyone. Klaus and Five knitting while Diego glares at his knitting needles like they just insulted him, Klaus and Allison painting each otherās nails, Vanya doing Klausā make-up, Ben and Five reading in the library.
Ben is actually the worst at taking sneaking pictures of anyone because all these years as a ghost? Not ideal for developing his sneaking skills. Heās designated photographer when somebody actually wants to have their photo taken, though.
Diego acts like heās not too big on phones and taking photos, but he is actually a master of photo wars. Klaus thinks he can take a sneaky photo while Diego is walking around with only one sock on? Ha! Klausā surprised face is forever immortalized on Diegoās camera rolls. Pulling pranks on his siblings? You can bet. A bowl of flour falls on Vanyaās head and they never find out who is responsible, but Diego replays the video in his room while cackling. Also, a ton of knife tricks videos.Ā
Vanyaās phone is full of incriminating videos. She has Diegoās whole dance routine to āFootlooseā, Benās enthusiastic cover ofĀ āDonāt Stop Me Nowā, even a video of Luther reciting one of his poems to himself when he thought he was alone in the courtyard. She bursts into the bathroom one day in hopes of catching Klausā high-pitched scream, but Klaus has no shame or self-preservation instinct and just gives a twirl, not hiding anything. (She shows it to others because if she had to see it, they do too.)Ā
Allison has photos of Klausā make-up, and cute outfits she, Klaus, and Vanya have tried on, and a lot of Diego and Luther bonding moments caught on her phone. Mostly because sheās the only sibling beside Vanya who is brave and successful enough to actually manage it. Sheās got a photo of two of them lounging on the couch and watching TV, then one right after of Diego climbing on Lutherās back, trying to snatch the remote Luther has in his outstretched hand just out of Diegoās reach with a look of fury on his face, and right after that one, the photo of the two of them sleeping on the couch, Diego drooling on Lutherās shoulder, and Luther drooling on Diegoās head.
Five hasĀ millionsĀ of videos of embarrassing things his siblings have said. He can fucking sense when theyāre about to say something stupid, they swear. One moment everything is okay, the other he is whipping his phone out just before someone blurts out some kind of idiocy. He puts all the videos on DVDs. He has copies of the copies. Nobody knows where he hides them, but heād randomly leave them in the DVD player so that when they turn it on, their stupidity smacks them in the face. But he also has a lot of videos of them all acting like a family. Just talking about whatever during dinner, or everyone doing their own thing but sharing the space, not even acknowledging the others are there but enjoying it anyway. Those videos are just for him because he spent practically a lifetime away from them and watching those videos reminds him that everything was worth getting back to them.Ā
