Somthing Witty

Rubbing my hands together as we enter my favorite type of Furuichi. The I will never be able to compare or that i'm a weak link Furuichi. I always wanted to rectify this in fanfiction because I feel like you should have got his own special power. Instead of being just the friend who gets beat up alot and everyone else is stupid strong. (It was kinda the trend during this time, i'm glad it lowkey died out.)

Its kinda fucking me up watching the anime or maybe it like a develop brain looking at old story and putting together piece better as I've grown up-

All the characterizations for Oga is just incorrect. I feel like a lot of us (me included I was there!! I was also writing fanfic!!! This isn't shade!! If it shade to anyone it to old fanfic writer meee) kinda went with face value stuff "hes stupid, can't process emotions, selfish and kinda one tracked mind." An went- YUP THATS OGA

Actually Oga is more of a fake idgaf I have ever seen!!! He's actually very connected to himself and his morals. He doesn't fuck with people who throw their friends away. He doesn't like the overly evil bank robbers because again they don't fit his mindset. I think he understand everything that he does but is just a teenage boy who is matching engery given. Oga is actually mad funny and get tilted so hard. Hes not the stoic type at all, nor cold and silent.

Hes meeting the world hes in on equal footing. He's also weirdly ace coded but I hate (even tho im ace) putting that on a character simply because he hasn't shown any attraction. (I also think ita a major trope the Shonen lead either a real prevert or to whismical to think about sex.) An to that i'll say that I personally, I think hes on the spectrum but under the (has to really feel a connection to want to be with someone.) Oga has to have a REAL connection for interest to be shown whether it's friendship or something romantic.

An also so far its very episodic so the real plot hasn't kicked in yet. I'm currently on episode 5 as I typed this.

I'm watching the Beelzebub anime for the first time instead of reading the manga like I always do. An I find it so interesting that this has been untapped angst potential when it comes to Ogafuru. (Also such a product of its time to be mega homophobic or even joke about it. Bro if the shit wasn't pulling Naruto level of HES JUST MY FRIEND GUYS I PROMISE. 100 plus chapters of why that statment isn't true, it was the exact opposite. Lets make jokes about it!)

I gotta do right by my Ogafuru girlies and produce some content. Its a drought-

The worst part is back in the day the manga was still fresh in my mind. So i could just write whatever but now having to watch the anime i realize- we lowkey were lying out out asses gang 😭😭 some of the tropes we were using were outdate and flat out wrong.
