oh yes thank you, I was trying to remember! that's the guy!

Anyways in addition to Hannibal I also have two cats (both black, one is lychee the other is yuca) and yuca loves nothing more than sitting on top of Hannibal’s terrarium and cozying up to his heat lamp (has she knocked it over three times? Yes. Yes she has. I have since clipped it down and gotten a heat pad for her but she wants the warm spot AND the viewing experience so guess where she usually sits 😑). so now I’m imagining Anya sitting in front of spaghetti’s terrarium and watching him slither around like it’s tv and Shane is worried she will eat spaghetti but no she’s just entranced by him and the isopods

Also, something that would be really cute is that while ilya isn’t a huge fan of spaghetti but he IS ok with bugs so when he finds out how diverse isopods are he gets really into the different varieties and breeding for good temperament and looks

Also Shane just sticking a bunch of fake plants in there bc he’s away so often but ilya has always wanted to garden/have plants and now he gets to experiment with the bioactive enclosure 🥺🥺

Idk just thinking about ilya wanting so bad to engage with Shane and Shane’s beloved pet/hobby in a way that doesn’t make him want to run away screaming and Shane being so 🥺 because usually people either ignore spaghetti or tolerate him but no one’s ever tried to a) desensitize themselves and b) want to actively engage with his interests like that 🥺

ilya feels mildly betrayed by his daughter also loving the snake. he is working on it, but anya's immediate interest feels like SUCH a betrayal.
