Molly Malone Cook. Helping the Traveler, 1965
Incredibly violent take of mine but I actually don’t think you need to relate to a story in any way to enjoy it. You can enjoy a story even if you can’t point at a character and insert some aspect of your personality or identity into them. In fact I would argue the need for a character like that to be present in every single story you experience is a sign of stunted growth.

Wuthering Heights (1939)

202/?: Wuthering Heights (1939) - watched 9/9/25
This is a decent adaptation of the first half of the book. Unfortunately I find the second half of the book more interesting, particularly because it really makes it clear what a psychopath Heathcliff is. Olivier does a good job of playing the role without asking for sympathy, and the movie looks great, but I didn’t find it too moving.
“ten years ago” and it’s 2016 oh ill throw up
