Harley: Well, for the longest time she wasn't able to drive without someone driving her so I've been using it. Now that she's back at work, I have to look into getting a car.

Harley: Any kind of snack, I take it? Alright, I think I can wear something practical and ooh, I'm looking forward to this.

River: You really should! I'm never gonna let this one down.

River: yeah, but chips are mandatory! we can always order something if we go down on food, which we might. I eat a lot, just so it doesn't surprise you.

Harley: Great, Im glad to hear it. Sounds good to me, better than me borrowing my mum's car all the time. Want me to bring anything?

River: You still borrow your mom's car?

Rightfully so! I more than happily welcome you to my shows then.

Throw me an invite the next time, I’ll show up and make your night. That sounds kinkier than I mean, don’t worry.

Harley: Great, how about we get together soon? We can go somewhere and explore for the day?

Not being able to tell whether the bruise on my shoulder is from work because I had a drunk slam me against the wall or because I was bit there is a whole new level of “the things I do for work.”

Oh, okay. You gave me our busiest days off to punish me for punching a regular? Joke’s on you, I had a fantastic fucking weekend partying somewhere other than my job. I barely even remember it.

And he was a sleaze.

I’m all for punching a sleaze bag, so gotta side with you on that one. Your job fucked up though, kinda like high school when they send you home. What got you to punch him?

I was born looking great, but something about a new set of fake lashes really amps it up. Gradian isn’t London for sure, but there is a couple really good tippers around here. Who knew? I’ll call that a successful Saturday night. Mama’s buying a new bottle.

Harley: Hey beautiful, I was wondering when you're free to get something to eat?

Elijah: Did you run off to the Caribbean again and didn't even tell me?

I thought the same when I first moved here, but I think it’s just something that you get used to with time. I’m Daisy.

Oh weirdly enough I’ve grown up here, yet it still surprises me how lame this town is. You kinda get to miss it when you’re gone, then you come back and it doesn’t live up to the Gradian in your head.

That’s pretty dope, like what people can do with charcoal, you know? Like the depth, the contrast, the tones, I think it’s like, totally sick. I like, totally get that though, i’ve gotten so used to make-up that it feels weird not wearing it around people. Some days i get up for Uni and I just don’t have the energy, you know? And I spend the entire day like, feeling super conscious because I know I have nothing on my face.

It’s so sick! took me years to even be decent at it, but now it just runs like a well oiled machine. That’s exactly how I feel, like naked in a weird way. It just ruins you more when someone points out you might look pale or tired, like fuck now you confirmed I’m looking wrong.

Ahh. It is a fair little distance, maybe about 5 hours drive? But i’d totally recommend it, maybe even over Florence. Totally! Especially if you’re a landscape painter, the scenery is just like… it’s amazing. I can’t put it any other way, you know? It’s like, just amazing. Oh yeah, like I totally get that, i’m just talking about appearance why, ‘cause like, I feel like people focus on that more than maybe even they realise, you know?

I actually thought it’d be more, I guess that’s not too bad. I’ll note that, it’s always good getting some pointers as to where to see next. I’m not a landscape painter, but sketcher - mostly charcoal. I like the roughness of it and the fact that it’s all one color, just deeper and lighter tones. Perhaps when I’m uninspired I should go, do some mindfulness. Ah, yes definitely, sometimes I feel like I can’t leave my house without my face on - that’s probably more a girl thing though. 

You should totally go! It’s so beautiful and chill. Have you been to Portofino? I’ve been on family vacations a few times, and it’s so beautiful. Like, I could totally live there one day. Everyone has something beautiful about them, you’ll never meet someone unattractive. It’s like, it’s not a word I believe in, you know?

I will, it’ll for sure be on the list. Nope, I’ve gone to smaller towns closer to Venice. I’ve heard it’s a place for artists to visit, is that true? I like your way of thinking. Though I do believe someone can be ugly, if their personality is so. I don’t know, that just goes hand in hand, I think.

There is nothing better than seeing the world right? It is a great way to just reset. Where are some places you’ve traveled to? 

There really isn’t, it can save my every mood. I’ve been all over to be honest, mostly Europe, Africa and South America. More rarely I go to the Middle East or Asia, but I love it just as much. I can’t even pinpoint it, but a lot of places. I love Rome though, the architecture is amazing!
