I can assure you, you’ve done nothing but instill me with more and more confidence in your abilities to do very well in the role.

I see… well, a donation is a donation, we would never turn them down to someone willing to find a good cause, whatever their intentions for doing so. Thankfully, we have no shortage of people willing and wanting to give their time to support the community, so as much as any extra sets of hands would be appreciated and welcomed, we’re not in any dire need.

I’ll let them know about it when I see them again in a couple weeks. At the very least you’ll get some money. I am definitely not going to mention me volunteering, though. They can find that out whenever they find that out.

It’s nothing bad. I mean, I can be like that, too. Where I just want to stay fucked up all the time. But personally, I enjoy being sober, too. As I’m getting older, I’m appreciating not living my life constantly in a haze anymore and having at least one foot in reality. But I guess that realization comes with maturity. So like I said... you’re cute. Stay sweet.

If they deserve to hear it, I won’t stand in your way. I am, admittedly, quite the believer in tough love when it’s likely to be beneficial. Best to not get too carried away with it though, we do want to avoid running into any potential problems, as that would be the point we begin to stray from our actual intentions of being a support network. I’m sure someone as smart as yourself can understand and appreciate that.

Oh fuck yeah. My father would love the chance to donate money but not actually do anything just so he could say he was charitable and did a good thing. My mother is a socialite and would get involved for the same reason, because reputation means everything to my parents, but she’d actually show her face. Just don’t ask her to do any hard labor or something that takes complex thought. She can donate plants and art or something and help decorate. Those sound like good options for her skill set.
