Watching pluribus ep 2 one thing that ticked me off is them talking about all zoo animals being freed because hello. The conservation work? The impact on the local environment and the toll on the animals in question? If they meant to show that the values of the hive are shallow and not well thought out they did well

Yeah I think the fact that that is a bad idea and actually harms the environment and the animals to be let out is the point. The hive is so wrapped up in the idea that animals should not be in cages because that is bad they don’t even think for a second that some of those animals are in cages for health reasons and some of those animals are in cages and should not be let out just randomly because they would be invasive species in the area. But the hive doesn’t even think about that they just think “It makes us feel bad to look at animals in cages so we will let them out” even though Koumba says there were MAULINGS because of it! And the hive doesn’t see this as a problem. It’s like how they let loose all the domesticated pets. Yeah. They’re all gonna die or become invasive species because they don’t know how to hunt for their food or live in the wild but the hive just goes “Animals trapped makes us feel bad”

They’re also so wrapped up in their own priorities. They want to dedicate all of the joined towards their mission. Taking care of zoo animals and pets doesn’t further their purpose. It highlights how their rigid thinking leads to cruel actions.

Im so serious about Mark.S and Helly.R he’s the first person she ever met, she made him feel alive again, they’d support each other through anything, they’d spend the whole of their half lives loving each other, they are soulmates your honour
