OKAY I WILL SPEAK!!!

It's more a passing thought thana fully formed idea though I suppose hahaha but I found myself thinking about what it would be like for Gemma to enter a Severed Threshold outside of Lumon where there isn't as much regulation. Would her innies always default to Ms. Casey or would it be sort of a Russian roulette on who might pop up? In thinking that, I wondered what each of her innies would be like as people outside of the room/situation they were forced to repeat.

Gemma's Allentown innie for example was shown to us as the most defiant. She questions how long she has to work, she snarks that it's always Christmas, she doesn't say I love you when prompted and then when she does it's with a lot of attitude (love it!)

What we know about Mark S. is he's drawn to a bit of rebellion. While we see that really comes out with Helly, I believe there was a bit of that with Petey, too. We know Petey showed Mark S. where the security room was and he trusted Mark S. with his map (maybe that didn't go exactly according to plan but Petey had reason for giving it to Mark and I think that stemmed from seeing a bit of that rebel spark in him -- after all, this is the guy who threatened to kill Petey when he woke up on the table). For this reason, I think Gemma's Allentown innie and Mark S. would hit it off. They both could fan that fire of rebellion in each other.

Another reason I think Mark S. would be particularly drawn to this innie comes from the nice piece of trivia that the show has given us. The Allentown file was Mark S.' freshman fluke, the fastest a file has ever been completed at Lumon. Mark inherently knows this bit of Gemma in an incredibly intimate way. He parsed her out effortlessly and was rewarded for it. I think this would fuel another strong point of connection with this particular innie of Gemma's and Mark.

I haven't fully fleshed out the thought but these are my kneejerk reactions to the two of these people sharing a room.

Maybe the opposite is true, too! Maybe this would be the innie that Mark most butts heads with, who knows! But I think it's fun to think about their connection - especially given the importance around Allentown.

yeah! I have twoooo (three?) unfinished early Hellys, and one finished early Mark. I immediately knew that I wanted to draw Helly while I was watching but I did noooot know how to lmao. the painting I chipped away at on and off for a while but never finished it. maybe eventually.

I think the biggest thing people use from the show to explain transfem Mark Scout is the ‘goodnight milady’ that Devon says, which makes sense, but with my transmasc headcanon I interpret that as something Devon used to say before Mark’s transition and it just stuck as something funny to say, plus it’s also a ‘tribute’ to his past when the siblings say it now.
