has anyone noticed that sometimes you take incorrect or undesirable actions instead of the correct and desirable ones? what's up with that

I love episodes of Game Changer where the only way to win is by learning & the only way to learn is by playing. With some episodes, like Don't Wake Standards & Practices, the overall flow of the game becomes pretty apparent pretty quickly, & also there's some surprises along the way. But then there's episodes like Count the Rice, Deja Vu, or Bingo, where the basic conceit of what the game even is is an ongoing mystery. I love that stuff.

most of the time i’m not a fan of how chaotic the finales get even if i’m laughing through them, i’m more story-oriented. however with city council of darkness the chaos feels absolutely earned and completely on-brand for the season. like yeah of course vesper is actually half-bat. of course hj wants to fuck the clown. of course the ghosts end the whittaker bloodline. of course bigfoot breaks the fourth wall to end the season because how the fuck else was brennan supposed to do it. honestly the season’s ending would have only been more perfect if hj and lavonte made out sloppy style.

It's not a fun part of the movie when a character the kid likes dies, but they can experience loss without losing someone they actually know that way, and learn how to deal with grief in the future from how the protagonist is taught to deal with it. The real deal will still be way worse, but a 7 year old who's allowed to know what death IS is likely to grow into a 15 year old who can deal with their feelings when it happens.
