My final fic for ItaFushi Week 2026! Again, late, but it's here and ready to be read!

This one gave me some trouble but nonetheless, I am satisfied with the end result.

For all my fics I wrote this year for ItaFushi Week this year were actually chosen at random by wheel generator. I did a mix and mash type of thing.

As Rin says, Itafushi week is forever! So I'm making this as an honorary post for @itafushi-week because it technically fills the prompt Flower Language.

My mom's friend ran a ceramics shop that we would visit often but because she hates the landlord she no longer runs the place :( this was my last piece there that she put in the kiln for me

The Fushiguro flower roughly means change, wit, and the thrill of love. (Very fitting, Gege)

The Itadori knotweed means resilience, healing, and to survive. (Also very fitting)

Fushiguro continues playing with Yuuji's fingers idly. "I'm sorry," he whispers, thumb resting on the stump of Yuuji's ring finger.

Yuuji shakes his head. "Don't be. It was my choice."

"For my sake," Fushiguro retorts.

Yuuji huffs, searching for something to say to ease Fushiguro's guilt, or at least cheer him up. "If you think about it, it means we're engaged now." Yuuji says thoughtfully.

Fushiguro pulls back to turn and look at Yuuji fully. "I don't think that's how it works," Yuuji can't see his face well in the dark, but from his tone knows the bridge of his nose is all scrunched up.

Fushiguro's hand is still resting on top of Yuuji's. Impulsively, he clasps them together, intertwining their fingers. "It could be."

"Your logic is…fascinating." Fushiguro's tone is slightly judgemental, but there's an undercurrent of fondness. He squeezes Yuuji's hand lightly.

"My logic is correct." Yuuji replies, nodding sagely.

4.7k words of Yuuji and Megumi's inability to be normal about each other. My very late @itafushi-week sumission.

I mostly had the majority of this written for ItaFushi Week... And then I got sick! 😃 So, yes, it's a little late, but hey, it's here now and I refuse to not share this one.
