DAISY EDGAR-JONES via @ missjobaker on Instagram
I love it when we have an excuse to all get together and catch up, since it rarely happens that we can all be in the same place. I feel like it went by far too quickly, though. What are you up to now? Back to work or extending the vacation?
it is the best. i mean, even at events where we are all together, there is usually a million cameras around and you don't really get a catch up, it was nice to have time to enjoy ourselves. i am back at work, had to go straight to set. what about you?
Dais, ( @dejonesfms )
Happy Birthday to the greatest thing Phil and Wendy have ever accomplished.
Today’s one of my favourite days because it celebrates the existence of one of my favourite people. The world got an incredibly talented, kind-hearted person and I got a best friend who keeps my ego nicely under control at all times. Very thoughtful arrangement all around.
I do genuinely think the world became better the day you were born. You make people feel safe, loved, understood and seen, sometimes without even realising you’re doing it. That’s rare. And very annoying of you, frankly, because now the rest of us have to keep up.
Also, massive shoutout to Phil and Wendy. I love them dearly for creating you and, by extension, giving me the chance to know you at all. They really did incredible work there. Historic achievement. Nobel Prize worthy parenting, if you ask me.
I’m very lucky to have met you, even luckier to call you one of my best friends. Thank you for every laugh, every chaotic conversation, every bit of honesty, every hug, every moment you’ve shown up for me without hesitation. Life’s infinitely brighter with you in it.
I hope this year gives you back even a fraction of the love you put into everyone else. You deserve all of it and more.
Now hurry up and make a wish before you become ancient.
Love you always,
Paul

DAISY EDGAR-JONES getting ready for the 2026 CANNES FILM FESTIVAL
Yeah, people don't usually get to see everything that exists behind all the good parts they do see. That's why it's nice being able to experience that side of things with friends who have gone through it themselves before, you don't have to explain every little thing because they just get it. Probably more than I even realise, honestly, which is still a bit mad for me to wrap my head around sometimes. I think I'm always harsher on myself than other people are. And I'm not joking! I really do want to work with you again, so it'd genuinely feel like such a blessing if we got the chance to do it.
I honestly think that’s one of the best things about having people around you who’ve lived through similar stuff — there’s this unspoken understanding where you don’t have to constantly explain yourself because they already see the parts you usually keep hidden. And for what it’s worth, I really do think you’re far harder on yourself than anyone else is, even if it’s difficult for you to fully believe that sometimes. But genuinely, hearing you say you’d want to work with me again means a lot, and I can honestly say I’d love that too, so I really hope our project gets off the ground.
HUDDY: love that for you. HUDDY: had to keep the buddy system alive so not sorry about gluing myself to you at yet another after party. the bright side - i ended up going home with all my clothes this time. how were you feeling the morning after? where'd you end up going after napa?
daisy: thank you. daisy: we are forever buddys now. hope you know that there is no getting rid of me. at every event, i am coming to you. so proud!! i was a lot better than after the met gala, that is for sure. were you thriving or just surviving? i went to cannes for the film festival. where are you in the world now?
i have to say i'm almost disappointed that i was not able to make it to cannes. it looked like a lot fun and maybe our paths just aren't meant to cross anymore. should we just accept our fate? @dejonesfms
with yu in every movie going these days, i was shocked you weren't there. surely it cannot be the case. mainly because i am hoping our movie gets another sequel. i got the storm chasing bug now.
It was so great! I'm glad we all got to experience it together, it was a lot of fun. I love a group trip. I'm going to sound so boring, but my favourite part of spending time with Liz because I hadn't seen her in two weeks. Gross, I know. Enjoying the sun rising and setting over the vineyards was such a beautiful sight, too.
it really was. it was so nice to have so many friends all in one place. it doesn't happen very often. even nicer there were no cameras. that is adorable you got to spend all that time together. i loved it so much. the views were so stunning

Daisy Edgar-Jones stuns in newly photos
DAISY EDGAR-JONES getting ready for the 2026 CANNES FILM FESTIVAL
i haven't seen you since the "twisters" days and i know it doesn't seem like that long ago, but i has been and i'll admit i'm not too happy with us. aren't we supposed to be friends? i know the excuse "we're both busy" is bound to come up in this conversation, but it's not good enough. [ @dejonesfms ]
i know, i am getting offended that superman has forgotten about us little people. it's really not, so let's fix it. how about a wine tasting here in napa and you can catch me up on all the gossip i have missed?
HUDDY: it was my pleasure, dais. are you still in new york or did you end up having to haul ass and head out to the next project like i did?? HUDDY: it would fit the hot mess express image i've got going on. that said, don't be surprised when i start gluing myself to you at every big fancy event. buddy system, fr.
daisy: i got to stay in new york for a little bit. it was nice. what are you working on?? daisy: does this mean i am seeing you at the party tonight? i like this buddy system we have going on so i am going to need it to happen.
Does this place not feel a bit uncanny valley? It's like... if you didn't hear all the accents around you, you'd fully believe you were in France or Italy. @dejonesfms
oh my gosh, yes. it so has those vibes. i am loving it. i feel like i could stay here forever. what has been your favorite thing?

He smiled to himself as he took one final drag from the cigarette between his fingers. The smoke curled into the evening air, familiar and grounding and he crushed the stub beneath his shoe just outside the pub before he glanced up at the sign. Same pub, same slightly crooked hanging basket by the front door, same low amber glow through the windows. A little older now, maybe. A little less chaotic. But stepping inside felt like opening a door to a room that had been waiting for him. Paul shrugged off his jacket and headed straight for the bar, already knowing what Daisy would want. That was the thing about their friendship, time apart never seemed to create distance. He could go months without seeing her, and still know exactly how she took her drink, exactly what expression she'd make if someone said something particularly daft, exactly how hard she'd laugh when something caught her off guard. He watched as the pints were poured slowly, with the kind of reverence Guinness deserved, watched it settle into itself, dark and creamy, before carrying both drinks over to a small table near the back. Taking a seat, he wrapped both hands around his pint, patiently waiting for his best friend to arrive as he scrolled through his phone for a moment. He hadn't realised quite how much he'd missed her until she walked in and his face broke into a grin before he could stop it. "Hey bestie." He was on his feet in an instant, the words coming out warm and full of genuine affection as he crossed the room and pulled her into a tight hug, arms wrapping around her as if making up for every missed coffee, every unanswered voice note, every month they'd spent on different continents living separate lives. "Jesus, I've missed you." He pulled back just enough to look at her properly, hands settling briefly on her shoulders. "Look at you. Still causing trouble, I assume." Paul laughed softly, guiding her over to the table. "Already got your drink. Figured some things are too sacred to leave to chance." Once they sat, Paul lifted his pint toward her, allowed them to get all the typical small talk out of the way before he leaned back in his chair, eyes bright with curiosity and a grin tugging at his mouth. "Right then... I want the full Met gala inside scoop." He pointed at her with his glass, then taking a sip of it. "Don't you dare spare me the good bits either. Who was lovely, who was an absolute dose, who looked better in person, and who was held together by hopes, prayers, and industrial-strength double-sided tape?" His grin widened. "And, more importantly, whose after party was worth the loss of dignity?" @dejonesfms
“there he is,” daisy laughed the second she saw him, immediately wrapping her arms around him tightly before pulling back to look at him properly. “still acting like disappearing to another continent for months is acceptable behaviour, i see.” her eyes dropped to the guinness waiting on the table and her grin widened instantly. “and you already ordered my drink? alright, i’ll forgive you then.” sliding into the seat opposite him, she took a sip and let out a satisfied hum. “god, i missed this pub. guess i missed you too.” she flashed him a grin. at the mention of the met gala she groaned dramatically, dropping her head back for a second. “oh, it was absolute madness. everyone looked ridiculously beautiful in a way that almost felt aggressive, like it’s insane.” daisy was still unsure how she had scored another invite but was thankful all the same. “honestly though, the best part is always the afterparties because that’s when people stop pretending to be mysterious and glamorous. heels come off, ties disappear, people start sneaking out for chips and suddenly these impossibly famous celebrities are arguing over music choices and stealing each other’s cigarettes.” her grin widened around the rim of her glass. “and yes, before you ask, there was definitely at least one outfit being held together purely by hope and double sided tape. i witnessed a full emergency repair situation near the bar.” she pointed at him then, eyes narrowing playfully. “also, i need you to know i got into a very passionate argument with a famous actor about whether british pubs are better than american bars and i defended this place like it was a member of my family.” the brunette nodded. “missed you being there though.”
