Lord Hanuman was born on the chaitra Shukla Purnima(Full moon day on the Hindu Calendar Month of Chaitra).

According to legends he was born as a monkey god to serve Lord Ram.He is true Karma who worked dynamically. He did what others could not do while serving Rama. He plunge with daring acts like crossing the ocean simply by uttering Ram-Nam, burning the city of Lanka, and bringing the sanjeevini herb and restoring Lakshmana to life again.

मनोजवम् मारुततुल्यवेगम् जितेन्द्रियम् बुद्धिमताम् वरिष्ठम् ।

वातात्मजम् वानरयूथमुख्यम् श्रीरामदूतम् शरणम् प्रपद्ये ।

अर्थ - मैं श्री हनुमान में शरण लेता हूं , जो कि तीव्र बुद्धि के स्वामी है और हवा से भी ज्यादा तेज है । वह इंद्रियों के मालिक है और अपनी उत्कृष्ट बुद्धि , सीखने की कला और ज्ञान के लिए सम्मानित है । वह वानरों के प्रमुख और पवन देवता के पुत्र है । वह जो श्री राम की सेवा करने के लिए वानरों की प्रजाति के बिच अवतारित देवों का हिस्सा है । इसलिए , मै श्री राम के उस दूत के सामने सजग होकर , उनके अंदर शरण लेता हूं .

अपने हिस्से का दीपक खुद ही जलाना होगा

ख्वाहिशों से नहीं गिरते हैं फूल झोली में....कर्म की शाख को हिलाना होगा।
