OKAY
Okay
Okay this is wild. Legit had the most amazing moment. In the course of my journey to find myself, I, like most ace ppl, thought I was bi. And then I realised I was ace, after talking to the wonderful @nutcasewithaknife, and coming to terms with it.
And THEN!
Fast forward two and a half years I've spent with Lily, and I thought, hmm, we're just really good friends. Yeah, best friends who regularly call each other sweetheart and cuddle in bed and have other friends calling us the cottagecore lesbians of our class, but yeah, sure, best friends.
Until I walked to dinner and had a moment of - oh. When I say she's a part of my soul, and when I say she holds a part of my soul, I'm not kidding. This isn't a joke.
I texted her. Like, at this point, I think I trust her with everything I have. So I texted her, knowing that my words would be held with the gentleness she always them with.
And she said she felt the same way. She said she loved me back which, honestly, blew my mind and left me just - wordless. My brain had to do a whole 180 and realise, oh I was bi all this time.
God, I love her so much. I don't know how I didn't realise it for two and a half years, but I've finally realised it and we've both just - we're a part of each other now, and I couldn't be happier about it.
Lily, thank you so much for everything you've brought into my life. I think we clicked from friends to something more so quietly that I never realised until you had already settled into my heart, and I wouldn't give it up for the world. A day without talking to you feels so empty and it always feels like a part of me is missing. No matter what happens, you will remain a part of me, and I love you so so much.
(Also we talked and realised how we're totally the bragging gays this is so funny)
