Laura Barns watching bridges burn between her βfriendsβΒ as the game ofΒ βNever Have I Everβ quickly escalates with minimal effort on her part:
the rain comforts me
the dark clouds act as a blanket
the thunder calms my mind
the lighting leaves me in awe
the wind moves with me
the storm is my refuge.

my top podcasts/audio dramas from February 2022 (rated randomly):
1) Last Known Position by QCODE: Last Known Position follows a group of experts including submersible pilot Mikaela Soto (Gina Rodriguez) as they seek to recover a flight that suddenly vanished over the Pacific Ocean.Β
The super yacht sets off on what looks like an expedition funded by a grieving billionaire, William Cavanaugh (James Purefoy), to recover the flight that his wife and daughter were on. But the crew soon discovers that there's more to the expedition than they were let on when they start to find themselves in increasingly perilous situations that point to a saboteur among the group, and a looming threat in the deep waters.
2) Limetown by Two-Up: Ten years ago, over three hundred men, women and children disappeared from a small town in Tennessee, never to be heard from again. In this podcast, American Public Radio reporter Lia Haddock asks the question once more, "What happened to the people of Limetown?"
3) Shipworm by Two-Up: Wallace Conway wakes up to find heβs been implanted with an untraceable earpiece while sleeping. So long as he does everything the voice on the other end tells him, he and his family will live.
4) Unsolved Murders by Parcast: A podcast full of unsolved murders, tons of episodes, very haunting and well produced. Check out their other podcast on solved murders!

my top three audio dramas ive listened to this week (all from Two-Up and available on Spotify).
1) Shipworm; an audio drama in movie form. Wallace Conway wakes up to find heβs been implanted with an untraceable earpiece while sleeping. So long as he does everything the voice on the other end tells him, he and his family will live.
2) 36 Questions: an audio musical. Starring Jonathan Groff and Jessie Shelton. A woman lies to her husband about her identity from the start. A rollercoaster of emotions.
3) Limetown (also a tv show): a fictious drama in the form of a podcast. Ten years ago, over three hundred men, women and children disappeared from a small town in Tennessee, never to be heard from again. In this podcast, American Public Radio reporter Lia Haddock asks the question once more, "What happened to the people of Limetown?"
why is dauntless so prettyyyyy aaaa
She slowly sunk into the bathtub, embracing the burning sensation. She leaned over the edge, grabbing a cigarette and lighting it, shoving it between her lips and sliding down further into the water. She closed her eyes, listening to the loud music she had started, drowning out her thoughts. The sound of the police pounding on her apartment door was muffled by the blasting music. She smirked slightly, letting out a puff of smoke. Idiots.
this may be the most in character kaz and inej photo iβve ever seen

listening to music isnβt enough anymore i need to eat it
Me, spooning my four-foot body pillow with two giant pillows under my head and three fluffy pillows tucked around my feet, and covered entirely with three fuzzy blankets and a shag rug: ah yes emotional warmth
okay, lemme tell you. the Renegades Trilogy by Marissa Meyer is an amazing series of books. theyre witty, heart wrenching, and well-written. i threw the last book of the series against the wall and cried for a good long while. 10/10.
have you ever had that urge to just put your head through a sturdy piece of drywall when talking to middle-aged women who literally try to put you down and make really mean jokes and are just all in all rude
okay, when people used the expression 'rollercoaster of emotions', i never used to get it. i was a really boring kid π i kinda just did whatever my parents did (i was a bit of a smartass though, i will admit). but then i was thrown into highschool, got handed depression and anxiety on a silver platter, became apart of a foster family, and reached that point where i was forced to grow up super fast but also told to enjoy childhood while i have it (so contradictory, thanks adults, i really appreciate that useless advice). like, now i really get that expression. one day, i feel like im on top of the world, im gonna be super productive, we're gonna be an absolute vibe, then other days i feel like i can barely get out of bed and i wanna yoink my head onto the nearest hard surface i can find. the mind is so friggin weird sometimes, gosh.
