Remembering Chuck Russell 1958-2026
Director Chuck Russell has died at 74. After working in film crew for a few years, he made his directorial debut with A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, which he co-wrote with Wes Craven, Frank Darabont and Bruce Wagner. That wasn't just the best ANOES sequel, it was easily one of the best sequels of all-time. The cast even featured Patricia Arquette and Lawrence Fishburne. Other films he directed included The Mask, one of Jim Carrey's best movies of that era.

Fortunately, it looks like the rumors of an Alien Romulus sequel being shelved are false with this being the response of 20th Century Studios President of Production.
