MUSH

No silence like that of an empty idea,

The self staring at blank nothing.

Wondering what wandering ideas will catch,

catch alight into the flame of passion.

Or am I moth bid for destruction, by the hands of scorching embers.

Perhaps even being pulled along by a whirlwind of daydream light,

Wings aflutter happily on the breeze of unrealized potential.

Fleeting incoherent, the wind leads only to disparate ash.

A dissolved husk that wants, and wants, and wants

To share

To love

To breath

Yet limbs shake, signals become lost in a maze.

The trapped ashes, the fleeting happy breeze, I can't paint with this.

The beacons don't connect

Brief flashes of light between minutes of TV static.

Where is my pyre,

I want to create.

Yet there is dissonance between action and body,

means here I sit in blank abyss.

I do think some of the "why does this mech have a scarf/sword/shield" comments I get are really funny. Buddy it's cuz they're cool as fuck. You can accept giant mechs as acceptable military vehicles but you draw the line at accessorizing? Same vibes as when someone complains about boobs on snake anthros

Never understood why some people insist anthro reptiles shouldn’t have tits, when anthropomorphic lizards/snakes appear the genre is usually fantasy/soft-sci-fi, evolution plays no part in why species look the way that they do in these genres. Elves being long lived/immortal and looking like normal humans with pointy ears are just as fantastical, but nobody ever complains about them being unrealistic.

Same goes for mechs, usually either in hard-Sci-fi verse or soft-Sci-fi verse, understandable for a mech to not have a scarf in a hard Sci-fi verse, but in soft Sci-fi any shape of giant robot goes, and any accessory is fine.

Now imagine this: A giant mecha that looks like a Anthro snake, with giant honkers, and city leveling laser gun arms.

I remember interacting with fandom spaces through Amino back in high school, I made lots of polls that were all mostly formatted like this, 'out of these options which would you rather have'. (List of some sort of thing from a given setting, IE: Star Wars Droids, Star Trek Phasers, diffrent starships). I adored how some settings just had like enough stuff laying around to make those polls with, those Star Wars 'catalog of (droids/weapons/ships/ETC)' type books were enthralling to me, and I guess I liked sharing that with other people.
