also while I'm on the subject, there is a serious lack of live-action movies that are made for the entire family to enjoy. kids these days seem to go from, like, Bluey and Disney cartoons/remakes straight to R rated content. when I have a movie day in class, kids often don't know any "school appropriate movies" that aren't Disney, even though I give them time to come up with suggestions or look into movies they might want to watch. and when they do come up with movies that are school appropriate and live-action, all of them were made no later than 2010. most of them were made in the early 2000s or even earlier than that. I don't really know where I'm going with this, but we should have family friendly media that children and adults can enjoy, without inappropriate or simplistic content. you can explore some pretty deep and relevant topics without ever needing to swear or make dirty jokes.

So to me, there are spoons (general energy cost) and carnival tickets (specific energy cost).

Spoons can be used pretty much anywhere.

Carnival tickets are only good for the carnival, and it’s only in town for a limited amount of time.

So like, if I get “kitchen cleaning” carnival tickets, I can’t use that to clean my bedroom, that’s not where the carnival is.
