& like, "many people (especially men) give little consideration to their partners during sex, & this can manifest as an unwillingness to give head" is a true statement, in like a trivially obvious way. but it is not reasonable (or advisable) to accept the premise that head is unpleasurable for the giver, or to characterize it as some kind of like moral power-up. this is definitely shaped by the general (extremely odd) attitudes online toward penetration and top/bottom (or active/passive) actions. a lot of people seem unwilling to get over the idea that many (most? all?) sex acts place two participants into a dynamic of generous/freeloader, or enjoyer/sufferer, or agent/patient, or good/bad. it frustrates me from three different perspectives: the implication that it's not something anyone would choose to do without an extrinsic motivator (giving head can be pleasurable! you can do it because you like it!), the assertion that it automatically makes you the More Ethical Person in the exchange (giving head can be selfish! it can be inconsiderate & nonreceptive!), & most gravely: the suggestion that there is some volume of people performing sex acts they dont want to because they are The Sex Acts That Good People Are Supposed To Do
