We're bringing it back baby!!!! A lot has changed in the QL world since this was last active, so let's do it again!

Most of the rules will stay the same. Please read through this to make sure your submission counts!:

MUST be from a (south)east Asian country. Countries from season 1 include: Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China, Vietnam, Philippines, and Cambodia. Other eligible countries would include Laos, Hong Kong, Mynamar, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia (if they were to have qls, which I don't know if they all do).

If the country is: South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, or Singapore, they MUST have a mydramalist page [for my own sanity :)]

MUST be fictional. Can either be a drama, movie, mini series, vertical drama, or short film. CANNOT be a documentary or reality show.

MUST be live action! No animation!

MUST be a QL. A QL has the following qualities:

The main character MUST be some flavor of queer canonically

There MUST be a central relationship that is queer in nature. Obviously things like BLs and GLs will match this criteria but a couple of examples of QLs that don't fit either of those catergories that were included last time were Koisenu Futari, a relationship between two aroace characters and The Warp Effect, a heterosexual male lead with many queer supporting characters with romantic storylines.

The queerness must be explicit on screen. Censored adaptations of queer work are allowed ONLY if they are from a country with restrictions on queer content being shown (aka China). If the country doesn't have restrictions on queer media, then it must be shown explicitly

I'm looking to put together a 256 bracket like last time (probably not going to a loser's bracket, or only one for the final like 64). As voted on earlier, new qls that weren't in season 1 will get top priority for the spots. You can still submit stuff from season 1, but I can't guarantee they'll make it in

sleep apnea is more common in people who are fat.

society decided for some reason that this meant that being fat causes sleep apnea. its often difficult to get referrals for sleep apnea treatment if you are fat, because some PCPs will tell you try losing weight first.

turns out!! having untreated sleep apnea causes weight gain in a not-insignificant number of people. it also makes it fucking impossible for many people to lose weight.

my husband worked out the same amount before he got a cpap as he does now. there have been no major diet changes either. yet he has been losing weight -- and gaining muscle tone -- consistently since he started using a cpap in january.

also, his blood pressure -- which was high, which docs blamed on his weight/diet -- went down significantly within one month of starting cpap treatment, before his weight changed significantly.

ANYWAYS. this is getting long. two final thoughts.

Yesterday I saw a mother with a baby carriage, being followed by a girl of about 4-6 years old on a bicycle. The kid started ringing her bike bell like RING RING RING RING RING RING RING, and the mother turned to look behind them to see whether they were being followed by a cyclist who desperately needs to pass them for the sake of everyone's safety.

And the little girl - who just rang the goddamn bell herself 5 seconds ago - also turned to look.

me and my brother later had a small discussion about whether that could happen randomly (conclusion: no, he probably had to file papers or something) and whether daniel should now be referred to as dad’s ex-husband (conclusion: yes but only to see the face he’ll make) but at no point did we find it like... alarming? the world is big and weird. we were used to it.

AO3 SCAM

There's been a number of people reporting over on the AO3 subreddit that they're getting messages like this posted in the comments shortly after posting new fics.

The AO3 team are NEVER going to try and contact you about TOS violations via the comment section (or about anything else for that matter)

Don't click any links. Report the accounts involved (which might claim to be things like "LucySupport"), delete the message and move on.
