I think way more people using genAI for art/writing/companionship/whatever would be more willing to hear the anti genAI side out if people's first instinct wasn't to immediatly shame them and call them losers lol
Anyway guys, I was trying to go through the Sky Young tags because I like her, and color me impress when I saw this Troll there, clogging the tag with their nonsense
Please note that they're using the song takedown to refer to Viktor, you know the song literally meant to dehumanize a group of people, Anyway, this person doesn't seem capable of thinking about the implications of that lmao
They spend their time annoying artist and writers, a.k.a. People with actual talent lmao
Please go ahead and block them so they'll get starved of attention, remember. Don't feed the troll
Edit: I'll just leave this meme here guys, if you have seen the superman movie, you'll know:
I know many people tend to forget central asia and asian russians exist but that doesn't stop me from facepalming myself into another dimension anytime i see someone say "Viktor can't be asian because he has an eastern european accent and a slavic name!!!" in response to asian Viktor headcanons
Being a Jinx fan with similar mental illness symptoms + also an actual adoptee is exhausting ngl đ

Random unpopular opinion but tbh, i don't really like childhood friends Jayvik where Viktor is taller lol
The three distinct types of found family:
Commits crimes together.
Fights crimes together.
Constantly switching back and forth between the other two at a horrifying speed.
putting this under the cut so you all have the same emotional experience i just did
Idk kinda racist the way people automatically assume the worst about Moo Deng's zoo because it's in Thailand...
we go through this every hurricane season but the way people will find any excuse to point the finger at the victims of natural disasters and say cruel shit like "fuck around and find out" like it's not horrifying having to leave behind your home and all your belongings and potentially your pets with the full knowledge that there might not be anything to come back to after... ignoring that there are people that don't have a car or the money to evacuate, ignoring disabled people who have no way to get out, ignoring people that can't find places for their pets to shelter, ignoring people that have medical equipment that can't be moved or replaced, etc... and even if someone stays behind solely because they want to, they still don't deserve to suffer.
as someone who worked extensively in disaster response previously, it is not easy to "just" evacuate, and the relief that comes afterwards is intentionally difficult to obtain. and already the forces that be are trying to spin this narrative that the victims are at fault, to put the blame on them so that if (probably when) people are forced to resort to looting (because the aid never comes) everyone will nod and agree that they're all bad people and deserved it... rather than acknowledging the fact that there was no attempt to make the evacuation accessible and safe for everyone, no guarantee that aid will be waiting for them when they return to a home that has been swept away... no empathy for the fact that these people's entire lives are potentially destroyed with no safety net to catch them.
now that we're starting to see the aftermath and damage done throughout southern appalachia in places like chimney rock (which does not have the infrastructure for this kind of natural disaster. the last time something comparable like this happened was the flood in 1916) please be ready to combat this victim-blaming narrative that will no doubt be weaponized against the people suffering here.
mudslides and flooding will continue even though the storm has passed, and this time following natural disasters like this is the hardest as more people are lost or left struggling without power, aid, or any way to contact help or family.
Thousands told to evacuate their homes in North Carolina after storm Helene shifts north
Our summary of this historic hurricane's swath of destruction. - Articles from The Weather Channel | weather.com
some places in NC are completely inaccessible, towns in appalachia have been completely wiped off the map. chimney rock and lake lure have been devastated. asheville is cut off and only accessible by air.
until the flooding recedes and power is reestablished, we're not going to know the true extent of the damage or how many people have been lost. there are people stranded right now without food or water or medical supplies and no way out. this is catastrophic. these next few days are going to be the hardest as people struggle to get aid with so many roads destroyed.

the rules say this but the way yâall treat adoptees as if we are not âreal peopleâ and just fictional concepts will never cease to amaze me. do yâall understand that adoption agencies advertise online or not?
REAL CHILDREN ARE ADVERTISED FOR P*RCHASING ADOPTING ON LEGITIMATE ADOPTION AGENCY PAGES AND YOUâRE MAKING A CUTESY POLL BASED OFF THAT IDEA!!!!!
honestly yâall (plus whoever has submitted, likes this content, rbs, or anything similar) should be ashamed of yourselves. the fact that so many people donât even see a problem with this blog is wild to me. this is how real people are treated! adopt or ditch.
idk why yâall need a reminder but adoptees are real people. we are 4x more likely to attempt suicide than kept people and 8x more likely to be abused. we are more likely to die due to abuse than our kept counterparts. adoption isnât something thatâs a cute concept for your blorbos. even the concept alone is weird considering adoption agencies were started by human traffickers. in conclusion, adoption in general is a human rights issue because adoptees have less rights than the average person. adoption does not exist in a vacuum and the way this traumatic experience is constantly watered down amongst fandoms and online culture is not only insulting, but genuinely fucking harmful.
the fact that our identities are stripped and sealed just for us to be made fun of like this is unacceptable. this is not just fun. it is insensitive and mean. ditch this fucking concept and delete your blog @foundfamilyadoptionagency.
also, if you think this mean. go look at this memorial wall and ask yourself, âadopt or ditch?â and see if thatâs any damn kinder.
@foundfamilyadoptionagency hey, i know u may not care but just because u ignore this doesnât make ur behavior any less shitty. disregarding the experiences of marginalized people doesnât make you cool, it makes you selfish.
itâs very important to me how my therapist (attachment trauma specialist) who works with a lot of adoptees and ffy is also obsessed with supernatural. and agrees that jack is not adopted, and itâs important to his storyline that he isnât. itâs so frustrating trying to explain to people that adoption isnât about âwhatâs in their heartsâ or some other bullshit, because adoption isnât about love, itâs a legal process that tfw donât partake in. they never try to to erase his lineage or require it for there to be love. jack keeps his last name! jack has a picture of kelly at his bedside! jack gets the freedom to meet his first family, including lucifer! he gets to make his decisions about that even after he argues with cas about it! he is not adopted yâall just donât know how else to describe their relationship because of the romanticization of adoption in âfound familyâ media and the fact that most non-adopted people have no idea what adoption actually is.
Birth mom right to privacy.
Sorry, I disagree with this. Adoptees don't get a choice in the matter. If a birth mom doesn't want a relationship, that's fine, but refusing to share where we came from in the name of privacy is wrong. Every adoptee is entitled to know where they came from.
If birth mom doesn't want to be found or wants privacy, then she needs to understand adoptee rights.
There's no reason why adoptees have to suffer at the choices of others. We adoptees have every right to know where we came from, no matter how hard it is to know the truth.
Since the Paralympics are happening and Iâm seeing all sorts of people saying âSee? This person doesnât let their disability stop them!â
I would like you to remember that Paralympions are OLYMPIC LEVEL ATHLETES.
How would it feel if I compared your output to that of a literal olympic athlete and used that to justify not helping you or giving you what you need?
Oh, well Michael Phelps and Simone Biles can do it - why canât you?
Thats how you sound.
I used to have a roommate who was training for the Paralympics. She can snowboard better than I ever will. Sheâs incredibly strong and iâve seen her flip a tractor tire, which I cannot do. I am athletic too and do several winter sports but not at her level.
THEY ARE OLYMPIC ATHLETES MOST ABLE-BODIED PEOPLE COULD NOT KEEP UP WITH.
However, she is still very much affected by her disability during every waking moment. There are a lot of things she either canât do, struggles to do, or needs some accommodations in order to do. I did change a couple things for her in the house to make tasks easier and offered to change more if she found a task frustrating. I did a lot of the carrying things up and down the stairs to our apartment because that was particularly difficult for her.
Someone can be both disabled, a world class athlete, and still need a lot of support. And no, I would NOT want my athletic performance compared to that of a Paralympic level athlete.
I think the hardest part about addressing child abuse is getting people to acknowledge, not just intellectually but actually responding accordingly, is that the biggest threat to children, the biggest risk of abuse, is family and parents.
it is of course most often parents who are crowing about needing to protect children (often against far smaller threats than family), and pointing out that they are, statistically, the biggest threat to their kids is not gonna be received well.
it does, however, create a dynamic where survivors of child abuse are frequently held at odds with those claiming to be fighting child abuse.
This is most noticeable when discussing queer and trans issues, but it's not all about gender nonconformity.
As a survivor of child abuse, and as an activist who helps kids, itâs a little bit worse than that. The biggest risk of abuse isnât the family, itâs the activists who are trying to help kids. Adoptive parents are far more likely to be abusive than real family. Foster parents are more likely to be abusive than real family. âIndependent living situationsâ managed by the govât, an NGO, charity group, or activist group are far more likely to be abusive or bad situations than real parents. (ex: I just sent a kid $50 so they could buy food that they can store and eat in their room, because in the apartment theyâre sharing with two other kids, (all funded by an NGO), who ran away/were kicked out of their family homes, the kitchen is overrun with mold and insects to the point of imminent hospitalization if you eat anything thatâs been stored or cooked there . . .). ((Even putting aside the kid Iâm helping, the other two kids are certainly suffering from some shade of negligence and should be taught to, and how to, clean and keep clean, at least enough for hygiene's sake)). So in the field of âpeople who deal with nonrelated kids re:abuseâ, you have a mixture of: people like me, who are pretty much screaming internally all of the time, knowing that none of the systems that exist are, statistically speaking, better for the children than the family you already know is abusive, (yes, not just âchildren are more likely to be abusedâ in a non-blood-family arrangement, but also âchildren who are already abused have, on average, worse outcomes when removed from the abusive blood family, even accounting for similar profilesâ.). You have people who think more action on their part = more goodness, and just do all of the tampering, removing children immediately from the family type of thing, and that always leads to horrible outcomes. You have people who constantly have their hands tied by the system, and are required to do certain things, and either feel horrible about it, or numb to it. You have people who relish in having power over other people, and theyâre generally the ones that cram the most kids possible into the fewest possible group homes/foster arrangements. You have the outright racists whoâll become good friends outside of their job/volunteering with the obvious (white) monsters, but seize kids from non-white families for the slightest, often complete bullshit reasons. You have the police and police sympathizers, and their solution to everything is juvie. So what Iâm getting at here, is that the abuse of children, not just about queer and trans issues, is systemic on many levels. On the level of society and our mode of child-rearing. On the level of the govât, and the formal laws and institutions around it. On the level of the individuals acting as activists who will support parents and their abuse, and will actively conflict with activists trying to actually, like, help children. On the level of individuals whose job it is a part of to look into abuse, be that social services or reporting to social services. And not in a subtle way, either; the system of abuse present even within anti-child abuse activists is such that they both actively encourage and enable parents to abuse, and, when studied insofar as they perform childcare or form alternate parenting systems, are directly more abusive than known abusive families.

#literally sometimes the only way for kids to escape abuse is to be able to leave their bio parents#and its crucial that we give kids the agency to make that choice#because as long as kids with abusive parents are trapped under their guardianship they will suffer#and the system has frequently proven itself unsuccessful at intervening on a child's behalf (@glittergothdad)
This also requires a different system of handling parentless children.
When i was younger, i wanted to leave my father. When the state actually took me because i was a Problem Child, all i wanted was to go back home.
In states custody (group home setting, mostly level 2 and 3) I went through hell, such as:
Being forced into overwhelming and overstimulating environments with no coping mechanisms
Being forced to take medicine that hurt me because i was loud and angry (read: traumatized)
Being underfed habitually because i was too drugged up to wake up in time and if you're late to breakfast everyone gets 5 minutes to eat. 10 kids at a table with 5 minutes to eat. You do the math.
Being forced to do physical labor that hurt me physically, wear and tear that I'll never recover from
Combining the last three points to make the 3 month period where i was walking a mile a day (on a disabled body) and being forced to take metformin with fine blood sugar because im fat and therefore must be "pre diabetic". I starved, worked, and shit off 80 lbs, again, in THREE MONTHS at age 14.
That time they physically flipped my bed and then threatened to manhandle me back to the cabin when i ran out to be alone because I WOKE UP TO BEING THROWN OUT OF BED BECAUSE THEY DRUG YOU UP AND EXPECT YOU TO FUNCTION
That time i had a woman willfully botch a restraint. Sat on my chest to where i couldn't breathe. I don't talk about this one much because there were cops.
I had my wisdom teeth out and they gave me ibuprofen when the other girl got fuckin narcotics. I don't need to tell you how fucked up this disparity is. The pain i went through during that recovery was fucked up.
Oh lets talk about huddles. A huddle is when someone does something wrong and a staff member is made aware, so they call a meeting for the house. Like, everyone stops what they're doing for this. So you stand in a circle after "HUDDLE UP" IS YELLED AT THE TOP OF STAFFS LUNGS they begin to break down why you're there. This usually constitutes public shaming in the guise of "accountability". Literally the phrase "natural and logical consequences" triggers a fight or flight response in me because it was used to gaslight me so much. OH and if you do not accept AcCoUnTaBiLiTy and apologize, you just stand there. If you stand there too long you get privileges revoked, and by that i mean positive coping mechanisms. Music players, craft supplies, special snacks, all of it. Even if the huddle was called for a bullshit reason.
Oh actually one last thing. I once puked up my medicines and they forced me to take them after they'd been puked up. Because wasting government money and whatnot. If you refuse medicine there are consequences.
TL:DR: the state foster system is just as if not more abusive than the homes they steal kids from. Remember this when you talk about rehoming children out of abuse.
"universal asian experiences" and it's just a select few upper class east asian american experiences lmao
