bat attack!

obviously i cant and wouldnt claim that being into kinks about being feminized and being transfeminine are mutually exclusive, but as i said previously in posts about misunderstandings of forcefem by forcemasc guys, those kinks arent and have never been the exclusive domain of transfems. i dont think playing the role of the tranny/sissy/etc itself makes one transfeminized anymore than i think playing a "man in a dress joke" role in tv, movies, or theatre does.

like my highschool growing up had a "manleaders" thing during its pep rally equivalent (i forget what we actually called it) where a group of guys from the graduating class would do a cheerleaders performance in cheer outfits. their outfits were more revealing than the actual cheerleaders and the dance always involved doing things the actual cheerleaders were not allowed to do because the school thought it was too sexual. the joke is obvious. its supposed to be funny to see a bunch of boys on the cups of manhood doing a "sexy" dance in revealing clothing. is every guy who did that tma? i cant categorically say no. i didnt do it, but the opportunity to wear women's clothing was tempting, and i doubt over the years i was the only one who felt that way. And having known some of the guys from my senior year, they didnt all actively think of themselves as doing something malicious. they were having fun. now im sure if you actually pressed them on what precisely was fun or their opinions on trans woman, it would be revealing, but none of that needed to be at the forefronts of their mind. And to be fair, there were people who hated the manleaders, who thought guys doing all that, even as a joke which mocked the act itself, was too far and that men whouldnt do that. some level of transmisogyny did get targeted at the guys who did it. but if we make tma so broad as to include people temporarily performing a role it becomes kind of useless.

Going back to bryon noem, certainly many of the ways people are mocking him are transmisogynistic in nature. i wouldnt deny that. but isnt that the point of a lot of sissy and forcefem stuff? like we need to step away from our own perspectives and reasons for engaging with it as transfeminine people and remember that these are kinks about shame. not necessarily shame about wanting to be the role you are playing (though it can be), but also shame about failing manhood, even if that is the role you actually want. If we can talk about how rape fantasies can be a safe way to explore the fear of being raped, we can do the same of the fear of being emasculated. emasculation is obviously a less "real" fear than rape, in the sense of being a thing that actually happens, but its still a common fear nonetheless. and with trans woman being the image of complete emasculation to so many, is it any wonder a man who fears emasculation might pretend to be one? Certainly if you removed the societal shame of being a tranny, some people who engage with such kinks would transition. and some people would likely never crossdress again, because the shame itself was the point.
