a character whose just getting over one cold, not quite realising they’re catching another — the increased frequency of nose rubs, the shift from dry sniffles to wetter ones, their eyes watering more, sinuses growing itchier, most of which they put down to external factors, like temperature changes from outside to inside, dust or air con. and, after all, they’re still recovering so they expect to be more sensitive.
instead, it takes comments from others watching on, that they don’t seem to be looking ( or feeling ) better, are they taking it easy? and do they need some more rest? they do seem to be sneezing rather a lot .. for them to realise they’ve caught another cold.
