I haven’t written creatively in several years. Blocked up/no surplus energy/no good ideas/bad headspace/whatever. No excuse.

If it came down to either continuing the slump, or making good money, gaining notoriety, and having fans by using AI?

Fuck that. Even if nobody were ever the wiser, I would know, it would wind up killing me, and I’d be better off. I’d rather never write again than be a dirty plagiarist that needs a tool to do the plagiarism.

I will be accepting no counter-arguments or comments at this time*, don’t @ me, you can go to your grave angry about it.

*yes, “just start writing again” is a valid exception, I’m almost ready, I think.
