So I’ve been interested in the ORV Live Action, and not the good kind of interest. I just wanted to see how badly they could butcher the franchise. I was reading up on articles of what the LA was about and came across an article written by Yonhap News Agency. One paragraph stuck out to me which stated,

“The film would have been far more accessible had it invested more effort in lowering the steep learning curve for non-fans.”

I do not agree with the notion that they should have essentially ‘dumbed it down’ for viewers that have not been exposed to the franchise before. It really grinds my gears because if you initially stuck to the original material you would gain and build up knowledge as you watched. Also, one of the best parts about the franchise, in my opinion, is that it makes an original concept based off of an unoriginal one. Apocalyptic situations are now starting to become very overused an unoriginal but ORV takes its own spin and adds details that are crucial to it’s originality. Saying that you want to water down those details just so you can leisurely watch and not have to use an ounce of brain cells really bugs me. Like is our society that brian rotted that we have to dilute the plot because we can’t consume any complex media? Is thinking so hard these days?

Well that’s just my take on this article.

It’s been a year daddy…

I don’t know if someone has made a post about this but i just realized something. The most likely reason why Andrew doesn’t let someone drive his car is because of what happened with Tilda. He has seen and witnessed what could happen in a vehicle. He barely trust people in generally and even less with his life. That just goes to show how much he trusts Nicky, Renee, and Neil.
