i plan for someone like me is hard to find to come out tewnite..
im living for all the fitness content from usc !!!!
season's gon be crazy
Jean is 19 years old right, but hes a junior? In college I believe. Everyone probably thinks he's decently smart, graduated high school early, started college (two? Years maybe a year? Early)
But the Ravens only cared about Exy, if students weren't doing well in school they probably didn't care so long as they played Exy.
So imagine, Jean's getting into classes at USC, and suddenly, his grades are shit. I'm talking failing some classes, because his education is probably YEARS behind a junior in college. (It doesn't seem he ever really had proper education, not even in childhood. In your junior year you Likely start taking more classes specific to your major, Jean's a business major? I think so just go with it).
Coach Rhemann is getting reports from the university that Jean is failing a class. Which is... Odd? Maybe he's not adjusting well, but its becoming more and more classes. Its not just one class, it most of his classes. Makes even less sense, he always has a teammate in one of his classes that's doing somewhat well. So why is Jean failing.
In the end, coach has a conversation with Jean. Who is shocked to find out that USC doesn't let athletes play when they are failing most of their classes (or any of their classes really) so Jean gets benched until his grades are up.
Jean can't get his grades up, why? Hes expected to already know so many things he just... Never learned? His team is starting to tutor him, and like all of them are shocked at how behind Jean very clearly is.
Jean hasn't had a break from Exy in a WHILE. or at least a break where he wasn't physically unable to play. Except with being benched until his grades are up, that means most extra practices as well. He is maybe practicing one or two days a week. But he gets a visit from the Moriyamas after having to sit out a game, he wasn't even dressed for it.
So what does he do? He called Neil (and Kevin by extension) because?? Wtf he can't play? He asks Neil how he and Kevin do this? Assuming the two of them are failing as well. They have to be. Except they aren't. But Neil agrees to help Jean the best he can, whenever he can. Knowing what's on the line for Jean. But ultimately, Jean has to play in the next game. He might honestly die if he doesn't.
Cue spiraling Jean Moreau because his life is on the line, he can't tell Jeremy or anyone really because the Moriyamas are already watching him too close to even think about opening up. And he somehow has to convince Rhemann to let him play, who at the moment thinks a small break from Exy is good for Jean in the long run, and is standing firm in his and the university's decision.
jean moreau 🇫🇷 i love you.
