Somebody needs to teach fluttershy about low-shampoo hair treatment and how mainstream deodorants are carcinogenic. Just saying, if you want to not get someone mad, maybe don’t say, “your natural state is so disgusting, I’d like you to be poisoned and fuck up your hair’s natural capacity for smoothness and[… other… good things, I don’t fucking know, I don’t spend a half-hour a day on my hair.]” I’m not saying Fluttershy can’t be offended by scent, just that… we maintain a bit of a double-bind with respect to scents. I’ve signed off on workplace policies that make me afraid to so much as use a scented body oil and those that blame humans for all the disgusting things that humans do, and maybe at some point we should recognize how this carries a lot of prokyriarchal dimensions, a little bit? Maybe we should all calm down and learn to make jokes or some shit, I dunno.
