Alice Denham (January 21, 1927 – January 27, 2016) was an American model, author, and former adjunct professor of English at City University of New York.

She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the July 1956 issue. Her writing talents were obvious to Playboy; several Playmates have written the text that accompanied their pictorials, but Denham is the only Playmate to have written a short story that was published in the same issue as her centerfold.

Alice Denham was an American writer, model, actress and academic scholar who was a 1950s era American Classic Men’s Magazine Madel and Playboy magazine’s Miss July 1956.  She was the only Playmate to publish a short story in the same issue.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate with degrees from University of North Carolina and the University of Rochester, she modeled, acted in 1960s exploitation films and mingled with major literary figures. Her works include the novels, “My Darling from the Lions,” “Amo,” her memoir, “Sleeping with Bad Boys,” and “Secrets of San Miguel.”

She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina in 1949 and a master's degree from the University of Rochester in 1950, and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa society.
